She usually takes the form of a woman with a burnt body or a beautiful woman to lure men to her. She has been reported as lurking in houses of men who have killed or abused their wives, or in the neighborhood she was killed in. She can start fires by touching things, and she is extremely fast. She can also outrun any human being, but she cannot outrun a creature like herself.

A Russian woman named Anastasia Nikitina married a man named Stepan Sokolov and changed her name to Anastasia Sokolova. She had to chase the young man to get him to love her since he was so cold towards her. Anastasia was head over heels for Stepan, though he was still cold to her after their marriage. Stepan only married her for her money because she came from a rather posh family, but they were now poor because they gave all of their money to Anastasia. Stepan was a sinister man and had plans to get all of her money and be free from their marriage. He had to kill her and make it seem like an accident. He found her will and changed it to give all money to him, and not to her family. Once he got home from his poor paying job, he found Anastasia asleep at the supper table. This gave him a fantastic idea. He would turn on the warmer and douse their home in gasoline. Cackling, he poured gasoline all over the supper table and the rest of the house. Trying not to slip, he went to the kitchen and turned on the warmer. After turning on the warmer, he ran out of the house and locked it behind him. Stepan ran from the house and hid behind a tree across the street, so he would not be harmed by the fire that quickly spread through their house. The whole neighborhood could hear Anastasia screaming in unbearable pain from her and Stepan's house. After he acquired all of her money, Stepan would go on to live a happy life for 3 years after he murdered Anastasia. However, this brutal action would come back to bite him in his tush. One night, he was walking home from the grocery store, when an extremely attractive woman lured him over to her. She said her name was Katya. He fell in love with her and decided to go home with her. On her bed together, Katya turned away from him suddenly. Stepan asked "What's wrong, my dear?", to which she started quietly giggling, which turned into a psychopathic cackle. Stepan confusedly put his hand on her shoulder, so she turned around to reveal a burnt face and body. Stepan took his hand from her with a gasp and looked up to her face to see it was Anastasia the whole time. Horrified, he fell backward off the bed in shock. She got off of the bed and touched his forehead. She said in an endearing voice "Oh, sweetheart. You're burning up!". As she said that, Stepan set on fire. Anastasia walked away from his collapsed and burning body, and left the house, locking it behind her. She titled herself The Burnt Woman and started killing men who abused or killed their loved ones and wives.
