Jack Burrell was driving his 1977 year old Kombi van. With him was his girlfriend, Marcie Stanler, and Ned Rubenstein, a Jewish prankster. The summer job at Camp Crystal Lake was money for their college education; they were paid $250 a day. Steve Christy was concerned what was the real reason no one came there: supertition. And bad luck. Jack had been a varsity team captain in New York, where he dated Marcie. Ned was around the fraternities knowing that Brenda Lowerstein, a volunteer, would be at the camp. Jack had long, blonde hair, bright, blue eyes, and tall; he wore a blue shirt, a green colored T-shirt, and blue flares. Ned had black hair, brown eyes, and tall; Marcie had brown, frizzy hair, brown eyes, and wore a pink colored T-shirt, blue shorts, and was petite. On occassion, Jack smoked dope, and was high sometimes. The trio of campers headed to the Native American totem poles that led to the sign that read: Camp Crystal Lake, Est. 1935. A half-naked man was chopping wood with an axe. He wore a scarf across his thin neck; he wore blue shorts, and brown boots on his feet. He had curly, blonde hair, blue eyes, and was eager to go back to work...As if Satan was coming. Steve wore a moustache, and was eager to dismiss the idea that the camp was haunted. 'Hello. I'm Steve Christy. Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake. Alice...'.
Alice Hardy arrived with Brenda.
'Hi. I'm Alice'.
'Jack, Marcie, and Ned'.
Brenda arrived.
She had long, brown hair, brown eyes, and average height.
She wore a sweater because the camp was colder than other places.
Bill Harris, 19, was a musician, and camper's assistant.
He had brown hair, brown eyes, and tall.
'Where's Bill?', Steve asked Alice.
'Painting', Alice answered.
'No, I want Brenda to paint', Steve said.
'What's the matter?', Ned asked Jack.
'I don't know', Jack answered.
And then Alice showed them to the cabins.

Steve saw the drawings.
'You draw well, Alice', he said.
'I only wish that I had a lot more time', she said.
She was thinking that Steve was uptight. Last night they'd had made love. But he was holding out because of the past.
'Please stay Alice. If, by the end of next Friday, you don't like it here, I'll pay for the bus ticket myself'.
'Okay, Steve. I'll say the week', Alice said.
'Thanks, Alice', Steve said, as they hammered nails into the wood.

'If Annie arrives, I want her to work in the kitchen. I'll be back by evening. I have some business to deal with. Plus food and supplies', Steve said. He waved, as he headed to town in the second green colored Jeep. Alice was in charge, and the summer heat was causing them to think that Camp Crystal Lake was nice. Jack opened the Generator Room. He flicked on the bright light. He turned on the power. 'It's like my Father's one in Maine', Bill said.
And they closed the door.

The campers were swimming.
Ned flailed in the cold lake.
'Help me! Help me!', he yelled.
Jack jumped into the lake.
He rescued Ned.
He performed CPR.
After Ned expelled water out of his lungs, he was feeling like a fool.
'Where's Annie?', Alice asked her friends.
'She was supposed to be a really good cook', Marcie answered.
When they relaxed, Brenda thought she was seeing someone in the woods.
'Do you see someone, Brenda?', Marcie asked her.
'Yes, someone's out there', Brenda answered.
And she shivered.
