"THINK BEFORE YOU COPY OTHERS HARD WORK,"
The day has begun to bustle on the other side of the border land, but the sun above them has yet to rise. The only colors visible in the sky are grey and silver, which represent the white strand of snow that is currently falling to the ground, giving everyone in town chills and coldness.
Despite this, people continue to walk around with a cheerful smile on their faces, unconcerned about the temperature, as if they are immune to this type of weather.
As they went about their day, they were dressed in thick and heavy but comfortable clothes made of thick furry cotton and thick soft polyester fabric.
The street was now filled with laughter and shouts from various vendors selling various items in ten more different stalls.
On each side of the streets, different designs of lanterns made from Japanese paper and straw are hung, with heavy thin black metals forming chains to support them from hanging.
Some approached various stalls, while others chose to seek refuge inside a restaurant. Children run around the street as if they own it, carefully passing through the market and all the people who are busy buying everything they want as they pass through all the boutiques, famous restaurants, and some vendor stalls to the streets, while having fun with their loved ones.
The place is cheerful and full of life, with a lively smile that bursts with a welcoming warmth to all voyagers and people who come to visit their land.
This was LanLu town, which was ruled by Lan's, a foreign kingdom located to the south and the only kingdom with only one season, winter. The only place where you can find prosperous ice, aurora, hunters, warriors, and rare delicacies of food suitable for all seasons of weather.
Lan's was a unique and very visited kingdom of many different cultured people because of its weather, unique winter fashion tailors, the fascinating beauty of its aurora that will appear at any time of day, and the famous festival play that it will commemorate every four years.
Lan Kingdom was also known for being an expert at taming bears, deer, and eagles due to this expertise. These three animals are freely strolling around town like any other person, causing no commotion. They simply walk around as vendors occasionally give them free food as they pass by, while eagles soar high above the sky with no worries.
Hunters were not allowed to hunt such animals, and the only animals they could hunt were those that were not on the list of animals that should not be harmed.
They were also a very well-governed country with humble leaders. Everyone here lives in peace and trust in its people.
If you looked deeper into the eyes of those who had lived here for so many years, you could see that they were very happy and very united as one.
On every street or corner of town, you will not see anyone begging for food or dressed in beggar's clothes; everyone is dressed in a decent but not overly extravagant tailor's design. Everyone appears to be having a good time.
In this country, too, the emperor enacted legislation allowing same-sex marriage. As a result, everyone here is fairly harmonious and at ease. No one is treated differently or as an outsider, which has prompted some people from other countries to come here and register as citizens and live here.
For in this place, they can feel like they belong and are accepted for who they are. However, the kingdom of Lan still considered their resource strength and population count, so only a few people from other countries are permitted to live in their land, while others returned with understanding and mutual acceptance.
"Xxx for fresh baked meat buns and fresh baked flower cake!" "
"How much is this?"
"Oh, that's only for xxx,"
"Mother, mother, I want those teddy bears!"
"All right, honey,"
As people moved through the crowds, one person stood out: a six-foot-three-inch-tall man with a delicate figure and features and long knee-length black hair. That also wears a thick white long sash that is tightly tied around his head as he walks down the street.
People who saw him could only look at him with pity and sentimentality as he walked through them to the street, thinking that the young man must be blind, but he can walk well and pass through to all people in the street without bumping into them. Perhaps his eyes have a problem and an indescribable scar, which is why he's covering them so they don't feel uncomfortable and disgusted.
People couldn't help but sigh as they wished the young man could still see through the thick sash that covered his eyes. The young man turned to his left and walked over to the stall selling freshly baked cakes.
"Could I please have four?"
The stall owner, who was already in his forties, was taken aback when he heard the young man's voice; it was so soft, gentle, and warm to hear, making your ear feel blessed and light. For a split second, the vendor owner blinks three times, looks at the young man, sizing him up and down, and says with a thoughtful smile.
"Okay, I'll wrap it up for you in a second," he said as he went to take his customer orders and place them in a safe package, while the young man wearing a thick hanfu with lotus and haitang flower designs stood still in front of him waiting.
"Here you go," the vendor owner gladly hands him the brown paper bag, and the young man takes it as well, while handling his payment before saying.
"Thank you,"
He bowed to the stall owner and walked north. The stall owner observes his figure as he walks through the crowded streets and cannot help but sigh in concern and consider his incompetence condition.
'How come his parents let him go out alone? What if an uncultured man purposefully bumped into him and caused him trouble? Haiyo...'
The elder man could not help but feel resentful to whoever the young man's parents were as he walked out of his stall, waved his right hand in the air, and shouted a message to the young man who had just purchased four cakes from his stall.
"Young man, be safe on your way home!"
To be continued.
