Yukihide was anxiously awaiting his professor's decision when he showed the paintings that would be included in the exhibition. Although the exhibition was still a few days away, there were many things that must be taken care of, one of which was the approval of the professor.
The two keen eyes of his professor observed the details of his painting, the choice of theme, the composition of colors and the reasons why he chose to paint it. Of course, Yukihide had prepared the explanation.
“Why is there someone else's reflection? What does it mean?" asked the professor. Yukihide took a deep breath before answering.
"There's a philosophy behind the painting, because—"
“Stop,” The lecturer raised his hand in front of Yukihide, stopping him from speaking, “Prepare that answer for the exhibition. I'm sure you have the right answer for that. This painting is beautiful.”
"Does it mean...?"
“Fill out the form for the exhibition and submit this painting to the committee. You did a great job."
"Thank you, thank you so much, Sir.” He bowed several times, and couldn't contain his happiness.
Who would have thought that Kinnosuke Hiro would bring him good luck? Yukihide felt that he should thank the man. He called Kinnosuke before telling Imai the good news.
“Kinnosuke-san, when do you have free time?” Yukihide asked after they said their greetings.
“Hmm, I’m going to finish my assignment tonight, but I’m free tomorrow after school. Why, Yukihide-san?"
"We have to celebrate something. Can you come to my campus tomorrow after school?” He had never openly asked anyone to celebrate anything except Imai. Come to think of it, all his life only revolved around Imai. He rarely had someone he really trusted to be closer to him.
"Is it your birthday? Damn, I haven't bought a present yet!” Kinnosuke's voice sounded frantic and caused Yukihide to chuckle.
"No, it’s not my birthday, but it’s something that we need to celebrate. So, can you come?” It was ridiculous that he silently prayed for Kinnosuke to say yes.
"Will there be a free meal?"
"Yes, of course."
"Sure! I’d love to."
Yukihide smiled widely—the biggest smile he'd had in a long time, “Well then, see you tomorrow.”
“What celebration? You didn't invite me?"
He froze at the voice he knew so well. He slowly turned his body to greet Imai who looked sullen, “Hey, I was just about to call you to tell you the good news. I have two. Which one do you want to hear first?”
"The second."
“My painting will be exhibited at the campus exhibition.”
Imai pulled Yukihide into his arms and they both jumped for joy, "Seriously? Congrats!”
"And one more thing,” He took out his phone to show something to his best friend. His selfie with Kinnosuke when they met this afternoon. He needed proof to make Imai believe he was sane, “I met the man in my painting. Look."
Imai was surprised to see how similar the photo of the man named Kinnosuke was to the painting Yukihide posted on his Instagram, “So… you’re not imagining things? How did you two meet?”
He shrugged, “I don't know. Fate, maybe? I was at the same table with Kinnosuke's best friend at the cafe and then he came over."
“That's great news, Yukihide! We have to celebrate this now. By the way, who did you call to celebrate something?" Imai suddenly became suspicious. To his knowledge, Yukihide was quite introverted and there was very little chance of him inviting someone to celebrate, except Imai.
Yukihide's face turned red. He didn't answer Imai's question right away and turned his face the other way, “No one. Never mind. I'll buy pancakes as I promised. Let's celebrate now."
Imai grabbed his wrist, causing him to stop walking. It probably wasn't Imai's business, but he was curious as to who Yukihide had just called, "Come on, you haven't told me who you're calling, Yukihide." He knew Yukihide was weak whenever he begged.
"Uh, that one earlier. The one with my reflection." Yukihide muttered softly.
Imai's expression changed. He let go of Yukihide's hand, his lips forming a fake smile, "Oh, he's coming with us now?"
"No," His best friend often acted like a possessive older brother so he knew things would be awkward if he brought Imai to meet Kinnosuke, "It's just the two of us celebrating. Okay?"
"Then I'll order a lot of food. Your treat."
"Yes, Yes, Yes."

“Kinnosuke Hiro borrowed Mori Ryuhei's perfume. This is a rare sight. Where are you going, huh?” Inagaki was very shocked when he saw his best friend spraying perfume on his neck and wrists and then combing his hair using his fingers.
“Celebrating something with Yukihide-san.”
Inagaki’s brows furrowed processing that information, but then he widened his eyes, “That Yukihide? The reflection?”
"Yup. I don't know what the celebration is but anywhere is fine as long as he treats the meal."
He shook his head, “Wake up, Kinnosuke! This is not a date! He’s gonna treat you to lunch so why the heck do you wear perfume?”
Kinnosuke tilted her head to the side, “You're right. Why would I wear perfume?”
Mori suddenly appeared, out of nowhere, to take his perfume from Kinnosuke, chiming in, "So the 'declaration of love' finally happened, huh."
“Mori, your joke isn't funny. I'm not in love with him, okay! It's all purely because I want my reflection back. You know, I can't look in the mirror without having my heart pound. This is all because what I saw was Yukihide’s face. Imagine what if the two of you saw that beautiful face every day? My mind’s dirty.”
Mori and Inagaki exchanged a confused look, “What are you thinking about?” They asked in unison.
"Never mind. I'm late. I need to pick him up at campus." He glanced at his watch and bid them goodbye. Meanwhile, the two of them were left speechless and were still trying to digest Kinnosuke's words.
"Dirty mind about Yukihide-san?" Mori shuddered in horror.
Inagaki snorted softly, “As expected, his thoughts are always perverted. You haven't seen how perfect Yukihide-san is. You'll understand what he’s thinking if you've met Yukihide-san."

If it weren't for Twitter, perhaps Kinnosuke could enjoy his lunch with Yukihide in peace. But since he became viral among several high schools in his area—thanks to Inagaki and Misaki for sharing the video of his meeting with Yukihide—he had to find a reason why two girls in a uniform had asked for a photo with them.
"I didn't know you were famous. Are you an actor?” Yukihide asked curiously.
"Well, you can say that." He bragged, instead of having to explain his struggles to find Yukihide on Twitter, "Excuse my fans' attitude, Yukihide-san."
"What drama are you in? I've never seen you on television."
Oh shit, he hated lying the most, “I-I'm an online celebrity. You know, famous on Instagram. That's how it is."
"Really?" Yukihide's eyes widened in admiration.
“KINNOSUKE! I didn't expect to meet you and your crush!"
His head drooped on the table when Misaki's voice startled them both. Meeting Misaki while he was alone with Yukihide was the last thing on his list of most embarrassing things. Misaki bowed politely to Yukihide, then hit Kinnosuke on the head.
"Why didn't you tell me you were dating? I need to tweet this." Misaki seemed more excited. He then introduced himself to Yukihide, “Yukihide Shota, we finally met. I've only known you through sketches. Nice to meet you, I'm Misaki."
Yukihide threw a 'what's going on' look at him who was already about to scream to shoo Misaki away. Yukihide still introduced himself although Misaki already knew his name. He didn't understand why almost all of Kinnosuke's friends knew him.
"Can I take a picture with you guys?" Before getting approval, Misaki took a selfie with Kinnosuke and Yukihide in the background.
Yukihide folded his arms across his chest, "Kinnosuke-san, I think you owed me an explanation."
“Uh,” Kinnosuke grimaced, “Should I?”
