Atlas, this is mum texting from a new number. My phone wouldn’t work over here in the USA and your father didn’t consider that, as usual. 

I hope you’re keeping up with your practise. I left a little treat for you in the fridge just in case you need a break. It’s your favourite, pavlova. There’s an extra kiwi in the fruit bowl too, don’t let it rot. 

I still can’t believe how lucky we were to win those two tickets for a holiday, it came at a great time for us. So sad you couldn’t be here, you must continue working!
