*Since the game is a sequel, the plot will continue the events of the season 1. So, the game will follow the second half of the first season. The other ten episodes of season 1 makes up the entire game; Those being from 'Little Dipper' all the way towards 'Gideon Rises'. *

Synopsis: After the events of the first game, Dipper and Mabel now face a new mission. When Gideon partners up with an evil mysterious triangle named Bill Cipher to invade the Mystery Shack, Dipper, Mabel, and their friends must come up with a plan to stop them. In order for the mission to be a success, Dipper and Mabel must think of a new strategy to defeat Gideon. It won't be easy, but they will do their best as their sibling bond is so good and strong.

Gameplay: Gravity Falls 2 is a 3D action-adventure game played from a third-person view. The gameplay is the same as the previous game. So, the player doesn't have to worry about anything that's control related. In the sequel, in addition of Dipper and Mabel being the playable characters, the game also has new playable characters, Wendy Corduroy, Waddles the pig, Grenda, and Candy Chiu. Wendy's abilities are to punch and kick as well as using an axe to not only combat enemies with it, but also to climb trees with it. Waddles can headbutt enemies real strong and can run pretty fast. Grenda can sneak up on enemies and knock them out as well as squashing them real strong. And Candy uses martial arts to attack enemies and pulls off special combos. The co-op mode has been increased up to four players. So now up to four players can control each character as they fight various enemies. Also in co-op, each player can switch to whatever character at any moment. And controlling the camera has improved. Just like the previous game, the game has humor.

1. This is the first game in the series that utilizes an upgraded Unreal Engine, called Unreal Engine 2.0.
2. This is the first game in the series that has 4P co-op.
3. This is the first game in the series that was released on both the Xbox and PC, simultaneously.
4. The game introduces a new antagonist, Bill Cipher.
5. The cutscenes are 2D animated in widescreen.
6. The Xbox version supports a 16:9 widescreen display.
7. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB for blood, fantasy violence, and mild language.
