The game is a prequel to the first Gravity Falls game. So, it is set a couple of years before the events of the first game.

Synopsis: The game takes place several years before the events of the first Gravity Falls game. The twins, Stan and Ford's origin in Gravity Falls, and their journey with mysteries to solve, watch out for Bill Cipher, and the discovery of the interdimensional portal. Gameplay: Gravity Falls 0 is a 3D action-adventure game played from a third-person view. The game mechanics are the same as they were in Gravity Falls 5 and Gravity Falls Aggressive. The art style is the same as Gravity Falls Aggressive. The player plays as Stan and Ford and can switch between them at any point of the game. In 2P co-op, one player is Stan, and the other player is Ford. Both of their abilities are the same as they were in the previous games. And the game has humor.

1. This is the first game in the series to be developed by Square Enix Europe.
2. This will be the last Gravity Falls game to be published by Microsoft Studios.
3. Some cutscenes are pre-rendered CGI while others use in-game cutscenes.
4. The Xbox Series X/S port has 4K support and 120 FPS support.
5. The game has a Smart Delivery feature where if you insert the Xbox One version into the Xbox Series X, you'll get the new-gen upgrade for free.
6. Both the Xbox One and Xbox Series versions will utilize the Impulse Triggers.
7. The game can either be purchased as a stand-alone game, or part of a repackaged bundle on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S called Gravity Falls Enhanced Collection.
8. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB for blood, cartoon violence, crude humor, mild language, and tobacco reference.
