"Yes sir," Alroy repled in a monotone voice.

Almost 13 year ago, Alroy left the capital to a town a little ways from here in order to learn swordmanship and its craft. He was wandering the streets one day when a swordsmith took intrest in him, the man promised to teach him as long as he helped the man out. He agreed.

years went by and when he reached the age of 13, he develpoed aura. He was the youngest in centuries to develop aura which immediatly got him a position in the royal army. Within a few year sof his time there he got promoted to the rank of captain and became highly respected.

He reached the doors to the Emperors study and sighed.

*knock*

"Come in," he heard coming from behind the doors, he took a breath before stepping in.

"You requested my audience, your majesty?" He asked his eyes drilled onto the floors.

The emperor had him raise his head before answering, "yes, my brother, the grand duke, is hosting a party for his succesors 18th birthday. I would like you to escort me that day."

The authority in his voice made it clear that it wasn'r a request but a demand.

"Of course your majesty."

"Radcliff! Could you get a documet for me? I need a list of invites for the grand dukes party in 2-ish weeks," he asked as a boy a little younger than him came into view.

"Of course captain, ill be on it right away!" Ian Radcliff was the son of a Marquis family famous for their swords, he himself had mastered his family's style and set out for the real world.

Once he left Alroy sank into his chair behind the desk piled with papers.

'I suppose i must see her then, huh?'

"I got the list captain!" Radcliff said as he placed it into Alroy's hands.

He scaned the list and when his eyes fell across a name on the list he couldn't help but chuckle at is fortune or misfortune? He hadn't decided yet.

'So he's coming to her party, huh?'
