Corpse giggled and nodded, “Maybe we should go for a walk on the beach, it always gets you in a good mood.” smiling wide she pressed her hands together and when she separated them again there was a shell in her grasp, “You like picking these, we can pick up a whole bunch and maybe you can make some potions with them. Oh so much fun, we can blow up the house and rebuild it elsewhere. A new job, we could visit ma and tell her all about it.” Enaya said this all while keeping her eyes on Ena, her eyes said it all, she was not even slightly amused with the idea.
“I'll consider it, for now, let's just get this out of the way.” She pushed Enaya forward slightly, “Alright? No more distractions.” Looking from side to side as they got closer to their destination. She watched how many probable witnesses there might be. After seeing the lady's memories, she knew that to deal with this, it was best to leave things in Enaya’s hands
Even if Ena was willing to break a person's mind, killing wasn’t something she was fond off. She’d rather leave the job of death to the reapers. So what better than letting Enaya have her unsupervised fun in which Ena remained quiet and watched.
The reaper had noticed how the life in that woman’s clock had quickly ticked down to just a couple of weeks. The woman in the orphanage had learned a permanent lesson in mere minutes. He wondered what she'd do to this man instead, it seemed so unusual for Ena to leave anything on Enaya’s hands.
Ena was self-sufficient on her own, so seeing her willingly step down and call for Enaya to do the job was not a usual sight.
“I don't mean to intervene in any way, but what did this man do?” Akuji asked, looking over at the two who seemed to walk ahead. When Ena’s bright eyes turned and looked at him he continued, “You're not really dropping by to say hi and erase memories and we both know that.” he looked at corpse, “The three of us know that.”
“I'm so glad to be counted, people forget about me, and that's fine. And glad is the appropriate reaction as someone normal…” She stopped for a second and cocked her head to the side, “Am i still supposed to act normal Ena, or is that just at work?”
“It's just at work, unless you see someone from there. In which case yeah act normal.” Ena told her Enaya's terms on normal were clear but she didn’t know how to copy the emotions exactly.
Enaya nodded, “I might have people approach me, I've been told I'm quite the charmer at work.”
Akuji snorted at this as Ena sighed, “I dont think thats what they meant.”
Enaya swatted off Enas words, “I guy asked me out. He said I'm pretty. I told him of course I am.” She looked at One with glee, turning to Akuji, “I'm so pretty the world should burn for me… Then he left, I'd say that conversation went well.”
Ena wasn't going to say anything about it by now. No matter what she said, Enaya would turn it around and say it either didn't matter or that she's amazing and everything in the world is perfect even if it’s chaotic.
Getting to the building, Enaya opened the door that required a key and a password. Stepping in and heading right for the stairs while the reaper followed close behind, muttering directions as they went.
“Not going ahead, Ena?” He asked her, in a teasing tone.
“No.” Ena said, “Enaya will be taking care of him. A game she's wanted to play in a long time.”
Enaya gasped, “You’ll let me play that game? No take backs?” She looked at Ena but answered herself, “You said yes! Oh this’ll be so much fun!.” She hurried up the stairs and basically pushed the door open before landing her eyes on the man they looked for.
The entrance to the room was sealed with magic by Ena, while the reaper stood to the side watching it all go down. He looked at the frightened man, rifling through cabinets and pulling out a gun, “Don't come any closer!” He couldn’t blame the man for being so scared. Ena was very much visible to him, and her mouth had turned into a grin nodding at Enaya one last time.
Enaya smiled wide, taking off her glasses and hanging them on her clothes, her white eyes were hidden with contacts, “Don’t be scared. I’m just here to play.” She giggled as her hands turned a bright white. Unlike Ena her magic was in a pure state. Uncorrupted by emotions, “I’ve been meaning to play this for a while.”
The man shot at her a couple times, the bullets hitting Enaya, small blood splotches appearing through her body, “Get away! I warned you.”
Enaya's smile continued, her form turning completely white devoid of any recognizable features aside from being a silhouette. Her now darker smile dropped however as the man emptied the gun on her, her mouth curled slightly as she spat the bullets out. They clinked against the floor and her smile was back on her face, “This’ll be so much fun!”
Enaya grabbed the man, opening a portal behind him dragging him into it alongside her. Ena and Akuji stayed in place, silence surrounding them as the portal closed as soon as Enaya went through.
Akuji kneeled down and grabbed one of the bullets Enaya had spat out, “Your sweet little corpse sure has no regard for self preservation.” he rolled the bullet in his hand before squishing it down flat, “I’ll admit you've made my vacation a whole lot more thrilling.”
“Glad to be an entertainment source for you.” she sarcastically chimed, “In all seriousness however, why of all places did you come take a vacation here? It can’t be because this is such a nice place, death doesn’t touch it now can it?”
He pressed a finger against his lip, “You didn't hear this from me.” He said, “But this place is about to undergo a lot of change. I wanted to make sure I saw what this place used to be before that change.”
A big change, she wondered about it, it surely had something to do with death for a reaper to know. Her suspicions were about this place finally being covered in magicians and mutants like the rest of the world. She just thought this given everyone was relatively normal here.
A portal opened behind them, the limp body of the man falling into pieces. His hands were pulled out his back and his legs were completely separated from his body. Enaya walked out with her unwavering smile, waving goodbye before the portal shut.
“Don't worry Ena, he’s still alive.” corpse told her, leaning down and pulling the man's head up to look at them, “See, his eyes twitching.”
Letting go of it and seeing Ena nod, she stepped back. Cleaning off her hands on her pants. Staining the black pants in red.
Ena didn't particularly care if he was dead or alive even if she had hoped for his death. In a state like this it didn’t matter, “Let's get back to the orphanage… I have one more thing I need you for, Enaya.”
The reaper looked between the two, “Looks like it's time for me to leave. I'll see you soon.” He chuckled and waved, “Remember Ena, you owe me.” He said, before disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Ena sighed, leaning the room and heading to the open hallway, “This’ll be quick.” She moved to Enaya, possessing her body and quickly removing the contacts. The usual white eyes Enaya had, now possessed a pupil. Blue eyes are way brighter than the usual ones you'd see.
Moving her hand and opening a portal back without the need of having a reaper guiding her around and wasting time she stepped through the portal. Looking through the orphanage for Zamir only to find him rather quick, her steps towards him. Her steps were natural, unlike the way Enaya would walk, there was emotion to the way she walked, unlike a robot walking around.
She waved at the kid. The other kids were also looking at her, curious for why she waved.
“Zamir… come here.” She told him.
He quickly ran over, looking up at her and gazing back at the unusual eyes she had now, “Do… I need to do something?”
