She shook her head, “No, just stand still.” She set a hand on the top of his head. Putting up a spell he couldn't see but one that would make him easy to find for her as well as a way to directly communicate with him.
It wasn't something she could do solely with Enaya’s or her magic separately. No, she needed to concentrate as one and do it quickly. Done like this it was quick and easy, making things simpler than doing it either one on their own. It wouldn’t take long either, no light to emit from the spell, nothing normal people could see and be concerned over. She had to make sure and do it right the first time because every second she spent in her corpse it would rot.
And the only way to fix it was using potions that could take days to make. The other way was requesting outside help. And the outside help would always require things hard to get. Hades was one who’d once repaired her body before, joking about not wanting a rotted corpse in the underworld.
“There, now I wont lose track of you.” She smiled as her soul and body divided again, her corpse back with pure white eyes while Ena was invisible to the eye, he could only hear her.
The personality changed instantly, “Aren't you a cutie, he's so small, Ena.” She poked at Zamir’s cheeks, “he's itsy bitsy and looking at me confused.” She giggled and knelt down in front of him, “are we going to teach him? Oh yes come on, let's teach him, make him a little monster.”
Zamir stepped back from her and Ena spoke up, “Ignore her kid. But I will be teaching you, it’s not permanent, I just want to see what you can do.” She was quiet a moment looking at him, “run along.”
After making sure he went on his way they went theirs. Being back home Altivo greeted the two gleefully wagging his tail. Enaya had quickly gone to play with him while Ena walked past.
“You were lonely today werent you baby. Aw, maybe we should put you in a daycare, even if you'll probably eat the dogs there.” Enaya said in a tone your mimic for a baby. Snickering as she whispered something in Altivos' ear..
Running towards Ena he barked at her before trying to lick her. His wagging tail knocking against a table and wobbling some of the items on top.
Ena patted his head to get him to calm down, “Don’t try and eat me, i'm just thinking.”
“I'm sure you're thinking about the kid. He’s a mutant, so you're probably considering how to teach him given we only know magic.” Enaya said, watching as Ena pushed Altivo back the way he came, “Maybe you really should call ma, or pa.” She paused scratching at Altivo’s head, “They might have a better idea. Besides, were the families only magically influenced members. They treat us like babies.” Corpse mentioned and laid down on the floor.
“They treat us with caution, there's a difference.” Ena corrected her, the gazes she felt from her parents were enough to say it all.
“It’s all the same. Baby or threat, what's the difference when both hurt your financial stability.” Enaya joked But the smile on her face was unnerving for some reason. Ena didn’t pause at her words much, moving around busy.
“I hate that I can't say you're wrong.” Annoyed, she opened a cabinet, pulled out a box and got a bottle from inside it, tossing it over, “Here, drink this.”
Corpse caught it, popping the cap open and downing it all in one gulp, ”I'm mostly fine, we weren't together that long. Damage was minimal and organs are intact. Most of the rot is centered in the hand we used to cast the spell on the kid.” Saying that she pulled up her sleeve and exposed the rotted arm that already looked as if it had been rotting for weeks, “It’ll be fine since it's not a majorly important body part.”
The hand was green and some spots had turned different shades, the veins appearing to pop up even. It hadn't even been that long but the drink she’d taken had already started making the hand revert back to normal.
“Still, it shouldn't go untreated. We've learned from past mistakes and it's best to treat it immediately before it spreads.” Ena pulled out another bottle that was the same, “I'll set this one here, pour it on the hand after your bath.” Setting it down she moved towards her room
The process of reverting it back to normal was tedious but she always had a couple bottles ready just in case. One for drinking and one for direct contact with the affected area. She'd have to get materials to make more of these again so she wouldn't have to request help from anyone. Help alway came at a high price.
When she set the bottle down she noticed a paper neither one of them had left. Picking it up she read, “Get to the underworld as soon as you read this.” She sighed and looked at Enaya who seemed casual about everything, “Stay here, refrain from playing with the dog outside given the state of your hand. Make sure to eat.” She sighed deeply, “ I'll be back by morning hopefully.”
Ena opened a portal and gave her one last stern look, “Don't look for the loopholes. Just please, take a rest.”
Stepping through and closing the portal she was in the always familiar underworld. Looking around as a hand landed on her shoulder, “About time you got here.” Hades' voice rang besides her. Turning to look at the man who appeared to be disheveled and sleepless.
“I was busy.” she stated, still taking in his messy appearance.
“I noticed. Now come on, I need you to get something for me.” He told her pulling her soul along, “By the way, how's Altivo?”
