"Where are we going?" Brett asks from beside Levi, both starting to walk towards the nearest park. "To a park I know, if that's ok with you." "Yeah it's fine." Levi and Brett soon arrive at the park and sit down on the swings, each lost in thought until Levi questions "So.. How exactly do I make you think I'm more than just annoying?"
"Well you can start with calling me my name." "Fine." Levi sighs out. "Fine what~?" "..." "Come on, you can say it~" "Fine.. Brett." "Good." "Anything else?" Levi inquires "Nah, that's pretty much the thing that annoys me the most."
"But you still need to make me like you." "What-?" Levi questions hurriedly. "Not like that." Levi lets out a quiet breath. "Excuse you, I'm a very good partner. Anyway, I meant because you wanted to hang out. So in order for us to do that, you have to make me like you."
"Hm.." Levi hums while his thoughts are filled with ways to make the older boy like him. A few seconds later Brett gets a call. He checks who it is before saying, "Sorry I gotta go. See you at school tomorrow. Bye." "Oh, byeee." Levi calls after him. With that Levi decides it's time to go home.
-The next morning- Wednesday, August 19
Getting a guy to like you is harder than it seems, Levi thinks while sighing. Especially when said boy is hot, Levi's subconscious adds. Levi mentally shakes his head to get rid of those types of thoughts. "You ok?" Brett questions, pulling Levi from his head.
"Oh, yeah. Just thinking." The boy hurriedly replies. Brett hums in response. They're currently walking towards Levi's house for a school project. Levi opens the front door and they go inside. "So where do you want to work on the project?" "I'm fine with wherever." "Ok. Let's go up to my room because my mum will be here soon and I doubt she won't bother us." "Ok"
Soon they're sitting around Levi's room, working on the project. Levi's thoughts are filled with Brett. "Hey do you want something to drink?" Levi politely asks. "Some water if it isn't any trouble." "Ok." The younger boy quickly goes down stairs into the kitchen.
He comes back upstairs with two waters and hands one to Brett. "Thanks." Levi hums in response.
An hour later they're half way done with it so Levi decides to ask Brett if they could get to know each other. "Yeah, ok." Brett replies. "So um.. Favorite color?" Levi awkwardly questions. "Crimson." "Oh nice. I like turquoise." "Ok." "You can ask me a question now." Levi happily says. This continues for a few hours, with both boys asking each other questions.
They got to know each other quite well within that short period of time. But soon enough Brett had to leave. When they had said goodbye, Levi had a quick dinner and got ready for bed.
When he was finally laying in bed he could only think of the older boy. 'He had to talk with his friend about this.' He thought.
He quickly called his friend Julia. If anyone could tell him why he was thinking about Brett so much, it would be them. "What's up?" Julia answered a few seconds later. "What does it mean if you keep thinking about a guy?" "Depends. Is the guy hot?" "Definitely and he's really nice once you get to know him." "Hm.. I might be wrong but it sounds like you might like him." This makes Levi pause.
"Hello? Levi? Are you there?" "Oh yeah. I'm here." "Well I gotta go. Sorry. But maybe you should think about your feelings a bit. See you at school tomorrow. Bye" "Bye."

Brett Kingsley was forced to move cities because of his mum's job. On his first day of being a senior at a new school he unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, got shown around by a very "annoying" boy.
Neither boy realized it then, but that day would be the start of something special.
