“You abandon your usual activities. Um, yea.” 

“You feel unusually optimistic. About him, yea…”

“You always think about them, yea.”

“You want them to be happy. Yea.” 

“So I like Ethan ? As more than…oh no. No, I can’t do that to him. Not now when everything’s getting better.” 

Ethan knocks on the bathroom door, startling Jack. “Are you okay in there ?” 

Jack: “I- I’m fine.” 

Ethan: “Okay. I just thought I heard you talk to someone. Must of been hearing things. Sorry.” 

Ethan walks away and Jack sighs in relief knowing that Ethan thinks he was just hearing things. Reality hit him, causing him to panic. What if he heard ? What if he heard everything and is just pretending not to, to spare me of humiliation ? He’s the type of person that would do that, so this didn’t help Jack feel reassured what so ever. 

Jack eventually pluck up the courage to leave the bathroom. Flushing the toilet and washing his hands, to pretend he was actually doing the toilet and not just hanging out in there. When he left, he seen Ethan looking at his phone with pure concentration. 

His eyes then traced down to see Ethan wearing his clothes, making them look huge because of how small he is. “What’s with that face ?” Jack asks, now having Ethan’s full attention. “Oh, sorry.” Ethan giggled. “I’m just looking at qualifications I need to become a therapist.” 

He paused for a second. “But then again I could probably ask you !” Jack sits down next to him, glad he isn’t mentioning him being in the toilet and talking to himself. “What have you found out ?” 

Ethan: “Well it mentions a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. Or a doctoral degree. Subjects I need is; English, Maths, Science and social subjects such as psychology and care.” 

Jack: “You’ve sure done your research huh ? So, what’s your next step ?” 

Ethan: “Well…I was thinking of redoing my past exams that I failed but I don’t know if I can.”

Jack: “That should be allowed, but it won’t be easy. Passing exams aren’t a walk in the park.”

Ethan: “I know, I’ll have to study really hard. Also, I already do maths, English and 3 sciences. So if I can, I’ll try do a social subject. Even better if it’s psychology.” 

Jack: “Are you staying for your last year ?” 

Ethan: “If I pass all my previous AND new exams, then no. I’m going to study really hard Jack. I really want this.” 

Jack: “Go for it bud, I’m sure you’ll do great. Oh, and I’ll help the best I can. Think of me as your friend that is also your own personal tutor.” 

Jack wipes his top, with a cocky look on his face. Ethan nudges him laughing. “You’re not special.” “Oh really ?” Jack’s eyebrow raises, then he smirks, reaching out and tickling Ethan. “Take that back.” Jack says, still tickling Ethan. “Ok, ok ! You’re special ! You’re the best ! You’re amazing ! Stooooop.” Jack stops, Ethan breathless. “That’s what I thought.” Jack says with a teasing tone, he won. Ethan just shoves him a little, smiling brightly, then returns his gaze to his phone.
