Read Unusually Different . :: Emilia's POV .

Emilia's POV

When introductions were done and over with , the alpha’s son and close family escorted me to the infirmary room that the alpha was staying in . When the door of the room was opened and I was face to face with the former alpha , I knew what was wrong with him and I knew who was behind it . The former alpha was tossing and turning in the bed , but that wasn’t the worst of it , he was hallucinating with a burning fever which could kill him in the next few hours . I walked towards the bed that the alpha was in and I stood to his left , the elders that were already in the room stood next to the family at the end of the bed . I looked around the room and I saw a glass on the other side of the bed .

I grabbed the glass off the dresser and I placed it on the table at the end of the bed. I could tell the family and elders were watching me closely , to see what I would do . I took my small seraph blade from my sheath and I made a small cut on my wrist , I placed my wrist above the glass and I let my blood drip into the glass . Once the glass was a quarter full , I grabbed a needle and syringe and I filled the syringe with my blood .

I then grabbed my stele from sheath and I activated my healing rune to heal the cut on my wrist . I picked up the syringe and placed the needle in the end of the alpha’s IV , I emptied the syringe into his IV and my blood took effect straight away . As I’m a mix of angel and demon blood , I am able to seperate my blood when needed , I just gave the former alpha some of my angel blood to heal him . The fever , hallucinations stopped and his vitals looked normal .

The elders and the alpha’s wife came over to the bed and thanked me with all their hearts for saving their former alpha . Kai asked me to stay on the packlands for a while as I was the only one who could help his father while he recovers from the poison . I agreed and shortly left the infirmary room to let the family have their time with the former alpha .

I walked out of the packhouse towards one of the many gardens that surround the packhouse . While in the garden I found a bench that I could sit down on , I placed my cross body bag on the bench and I took off my sheath from my right hip and I placed it on the bench beside my bag . I then sat down on the bench and I closed my eyes for a brief second , until I remembered the letter in my bag . I opened my bag and I got the letter out of my bag and I opened the back of the letter .

I unfolded the letter and it said :

Dear Mila ,

It’s been a year and a half since I last saw you and I know that is because of the life that you live and because of who your parents are . I understand the control that they have over you . I’m writing to you today to inform you that my recovery is a success and that your blood healed me , Mila . I will always be thankful for what you have done for me . I am so honoured to be your parabatai , I just wished that the circumstances were better for us . Your brother Durion has taught me control and I can now control my wolf side effectively. I can walk again without any help and the silent brothers say that I can leave the silent city in a few days . Where are you Mila , I want to see you again. I want to fight by your side once more .

I finished reading the letter and I couldn’t help but have a smile on my face as I was thrilled to know that I had healed my parabatai . Yes I have a parabatai and Durion is the only one who knows about Eli and that’s how I want it to stay for now . I folded the letter back up and put it back into the envelope , I then placed the letter back into my bag and I looked around the garden in front of me . Some of the pack members had entered the garden while I was reading the letter and I honestly didn’t mind that I was surrounded by people that I didn’t even know .

      I was enjoying the peaceful silence that I never get to experience when I heard footsteps coming from my right . I looked and I saw that it was the Delta of the alpha that I was introduced to earlier today . The delta stopped at my right side .
     

      ‘’ You're the Delta aren’t you ? ‘’ I say not really looking at him , but behind him. 
‘’ Yes , my names Alexander , Kai introduced me earlier ‘’ He said while taking a seat on my right .
‘’ Can I help you with something Alexander ‘’ I said while taking out my stele and activating my stamina rune as the tiredness was hitting me now .
‘’ I wanted to get to know you better Miss Shadowblood ‘’ He said while getting comfortable on the bench . 
‘’You don’t even know me , Alexander , you only know my name because of who my family is , I don’t tell anyone about who I am . If you haven’t realised Alexander , I’m not the average Shadowhunter ‘’ I said already tired of this conversation . 

         ‘’ You're a wolf are you not ? ‘’ He said while looking at me .
        
         ‘’ Part wolf yes but what has that got to do with this conversation ‘’ I said, getting annoyed .
‘’ No reason ‘’ He said . That’s it , I’m done with this conversation .
‘’ Listen wolf boy your crossing the line with me and I’m someone that you don’t want to challenge , I can become your worst nightmare and believe me I have been a nightmare for many people ‘’ I said while getting up from the bench and grabbing my sheath to tie it on my right hip again . I then grabbed my bag and placed it on my shoulder . 

            Before the delta could answer my phone started ringing , I took it out of my pocket to see that it was Durion . I took one last glance at the delta before turning around and walking away . 
           
            ‘’ Mila , Where are you right now ? ‘’ Durion asked .
‘’ Long story short Durion , I’m on packlands on the outskirts of New York , Why ? ‘’ I asked back .
‘’ Mila , Valerians coming for you and Skyler , he’s out to kill you and then finish Skyler off , You need to get back to New York and get Skyler and run , Mila ‘’ Durion said without wasting time .
‘’ I knew I wasn’t safe for long , instead of stripping my title , they want to kill me and my twin . What parents we have Durion ‘’ I said with a sigh .
‘’ Mila , get to Skyler now ‘’ Durion said before hanging up .

               Without wasting another second , I grabbed my stele and created a portal that opened outside my apartment complex . I couldn’t care less if the mundanes saw me , my brother is my main priority . I stepped through the portal and I ran towards the entrance of the apartment complex . I decided not to take the elevator as it would take too much time , so I took the stairs instead .
