He flipped through the many pages of a book set in the chronicle of summonings and stopped short, drawn to an androgynous humanoid of angelic appearance and was drawn in like a moth to a flame. Little did this man know, this maleficent creature was disguised through its divinity and enraptured many others like poor Rowan. This would inevitably lead to the transition of his undoing, the latch of this pandora’s box lifted the moment his damned curiosity was piqued, his reason fled him, now a man turned mindless with a destructive willpower nobody could have foreseen. The man went out of his way to meet this superior being, the presumed “angel” and the moment he finally was able to call upon it was the last time he would carry any love in his heart. It was snatched from him, claimed in a brutal manner, destroying a once pure and sweet-loving marriage. The result: heart-wrenching separation of maiden and man, a son being torn from his father before having met the side of him that was kind and forgiving. He was destined to meet this apathetic image, the wretched and corrupt shell of a man whose heart was void, turned to stone.
This is one of a few results that hint at characters and backstory to my main series. I wonder if this will spark theories in the future. Rowan is a family name after all.
This is going to become the home for writing that was too short to become its own novel, pieces based on prompts, scenes without context, a place to start new series, and other random stuff.
