"Taylor, you know I can't talk to you about this-"
"She's my friend-"
"It's her choice whether she tells you or not...Ask her, if she tells you..I can't stop her." Mamma bear smiles setting a plate of eggs down on the table, "Now go get ready for school. And tell Jasmine breakfast is ready." I sigh as I walk towards my room, stopping at her room to push open the door.
"Hey, breakfast is ready- Oh my god, I'm so sorry."
"I didn't know I was that ugly." Jasmine chuckles before turning toward her bed.
"No, no it's- your beautiful." She just chuckles while I buried my face in my hands, "Breakfast..breakfast is ready."
"Thanks, but I'm not hungry." She says pulling her shirt over her head.
"Are you sure, you should eat something after puking-"
"I'll eat at the hospital or a diner."
"Hospital? You're not going to see your father are you?"
"I'm just going to bring him some clothes," Jasmine says throwing a backpack over her shoulder.
"No. He hit you-"
"And I broke three of his ribs and his nose, lucky a broken rib didn't puncture something- Can that happen?"
"What? I don't know- You can't blame yourself, he hit you. Are you just going to forget that very big fact-"
"I was an ass. And he apologized." Jasmine stopped at the top of the stairs.
"He hit you. His own daughter and you hit him in defense-"
"What is going on?"
"She wants to visit her father."
"To bring him clothes." Jasmine sighed.
"Jasmine, you can't."
"Sorry, Papa Bear you have no authority over me," Jasmine says brushing past my Dad.
"Jasmine, stop. I don't want to have to hurt you."
"For going to see my father. I doubt it." Jasmine smiles opening the door. Dad grabs her and puts her hands behind her back. Cop training kicked in I guess. Jasmine grunts as her face hit the wall, a dull thud echoed through the house, and Mom came running.
"Paul-"
"She's trying to leave to go see her father. I had no choice."
"What? Jasmine-" Before Mom can say anything Jasmine breaks out of Dad's hold causing him to reactively try and take her down but she counteracts and grabs his arm flipping him on his back with a loud thud.
"Touch me again. And I'll break your arm. My father is not the dangerous one I am. He knows if he touches me again I'll do a lot more than break a few ribs and a nose. The same goes for you." Jasmine growls stopping to take a deep shallow breath, "I am not in the mood for this." Jasmine turns and leaves.
The girl every boy wanted and every girl wanted to be only wanted the one person in the entire school who didn't want her or to be her, the quiet kid who just wants to be left alone so the day can go by without there being a total disaster like catching the attention of the whole student body because the head cheerleader likes her.
