A lot of time has passed, I'm currently 10 years old, I finally figured out what my new name is too. My name is now Vandis Python. It is also my first day going to school in this world. The system is different than on Earth, everyone starts school when they turn 10 years old, and they get home-schooled before that. I also learned something about my family. Reptile characteristics are the rarest species of all the species in this world. Some people collect our eyes for money. Who would want to buy eyes, honestly this world is so strange. But since I found this out, I've been very careful about telling others about me. 

Also, do you remember the neighbour boy? I didn’t know his name but apparently his name is Jett Nox. I don’t know his species, but he is not a coldblooded animal like me for sure. He is 11 years old, so he is already in school. I did hear that he has to repeat a year. That can only mean one thing, he will be in my class. He is also the only outsider who knows my species. He knows I'm part snake and part crocodile. 

My parents told him this, for emergencies. Imagine me getting cold, he will be the only person nearby who can warm me up. Or my extremely comfy warm lamp of course. But my parents can’t accept that. I'm glad it's currently summer though. I can’t go to school in the winter. I have to go there tomorrow. Because there are no cars, we have to walk. I'm not going with my parents either. I have to go with Jett. My father has some kind of job, and he can’t be seen in public because of that. I don’t know what his job is though. My mom is jobless. She lives like a housewife and stays home. She only goes out for groceries.
