As I walk out of my house, I see Jett waiting for me. We're both in school uniforms and have a bag with us. Jett waves at me with a big smile. Ugh, too much energy in the morning. As I walk behind him, he suddenly starts talking to me. Jett:” It’s so cool that we can go to school together like this. Everyone always walks with others or rides in a carriage. I was always so jealous. But now I have you! You also don’t have to worry about getting cold, because I'm in the same class as you. I asked the teacher if we could sit together since we are neighbours and he agreed!” Great, we sit next to each other. If there is one thing I wanted to avoid, it would be being close with this guy.
As we arrived at school, I started to get nervous. Why does almost no one here have coloured hair like me? And why is almost everyone staring at me. Jett looked over to me. Jett: "Don't worry, they are staring at me, not you.” I don’t understand, so I asked: “Why would they be staring at you?” Jett looked at me with a weird expression on his face. Jett: “That is because I was the only one to repeat a year in the last five years.” Oh, I see, but this kind of thing was so common on Earth, I don’t understand. Well, it’s not really my problem, is it?
I was a little bit afraid to talk, because I have fangs like a snake. It looks like I'm some kind of vampire actually. And my species is so rare that no one else had this problem. That is also why I'm so glad that my seat is in the back of the class. And just like Jett said, we sit next to each other. What a pain. And to think that I'm mentally 26 right now is also just so weird. Here I am, a 26-year-old sitting in the back of the class with 10-year-olds.
