At the end of the tour Sellion showed us our rooms and to say that the rooms were renovated to suit our tastes was an understatement , it was like they knew what we liked and what we didn’t . I didn’t think much of it as I suspected that it was Durion who told them . I went into my new room while Skyler and Locien went into theirs to rest for a few hours as the travelling had exhausted them but with me , I’m a complete insomniac as I was never allowed to sleep due to my father keeping me awake to train as a child . I just use a stamina rune to keep me awake at all times.

I sat down on the couch by the window and I took off my sheath from my right hip and I placed my bag on the floor beside the couch . I leaned back on the couch and I closed my eyes for a brief minute . I was just so tired with my life , when was my father going to stop tormenting Skyler and I . 

I bent down towards my bag and I opened it to find my most prized possession , my journal ever since I was a child . Orion gave it to me for my twelfth birthday , He said to use it when I was stressed or when I was so done with life and to be honest that was me everyday since I was a child . I was about to open my journal when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I swear to god if this was the vampire I would freak out . I went towards my bedroom door and I opened the door and the person standing there was not who I was expecting. I wasted no time in pulling that person into a hug and for the first time in my life , I cried . The person I was hugging was my other half. He was my parabatai , his name was Eli . 

Eli just hugged me back just as tight and he moved us into my room to give us some privacy. I pulled back from the hug while wiping my tears and Eli looked at me with a smile on his face . 

‘’ You're here Lee , How did you get here ? ‘’ I asked Eli with tears of happiness .

‘’ Your brother Durion brought me here a few weeks ago , He said that he was bringing you and Skyler here for safety in a few days ‘’ He said, taking a step towards me .

‘’ You can walk Lee , my blood cured you ‘’ I said with a smile .

‘’ Yes Mila I am , You saved me and for that I am grateful to have you as my parabatai ‘’ Eli said before pulling me in for another hug . I hugged Eli back as I had missed him so much .

‘’ Your twin looks identical to you , I could hardly tell who was who earlier when I saw you both together ‘’ Eli said while pulling away from the hug.

‘’ You were there , omg , I honestly didn’t sense you ‘’ I said with a chuckle at the end .

‘’ That’s because I blocked the parabatai rune , I wanted it to be a surprise ‘’ Eli said before making his way over to the couch , where my journal was .

‘’ You still have this ‘’ Eli inquired while picking up my journal . 

Eli and Skyler were the only ones who knew about my journal but they didn’t know what was written in it and it will stay that way . The only way they will ever get to read my journal is when I’m dead . 

‘’ Yes I do , it’s mine isn’t it , I didn’t know I needed permission to keep it ‘’ I said before grabbing the journal out of Eli’s hand and stuffing it in my bag again .

‘’ Still the same Mila , I see ‘’ Eli said jokingly .

‘’ You bet ‘’ I said with a slight giggle . 

I was about to say something when another knock came from my door and I wasted no time in opening it as I knew it was Skyler due to our twin bond . I opened the door to find Skyler and Locien standing there. I opened the door wide enough and Skyler and Locien walked in and came to a complete halt when they saw Eli . 

‘’ Mila who’s this ‘’ Sky said while looking at Eli .

‘’ Sky this is my parabatai Eli and Eli this is my twin brother Skyler and his parabatai Locien ‘’ I said standing next to Eli . 

‘’ Wait Mila , did you just say parabatai , I thought nobody interested you ‘’ Sky said looking confused .

‘’ Nobody did except for Eli , Eli has been my parabatai ever since we left Idris Sky , Durion was the only one who knew . I couldn’t tell you because I had to keep it a secret from our parents ‘’ I said hoping that Skyler would understand.

‘’ I completely understand why you didn’t tell me , our parents are messed up and Eli it’s a pleasure to meet you at last but I wish that it had been in better circumstances ‘’ Skyler siad .

‘’ As do I, Skyler ‘’ Eli said before looking towards Locien .

‘’ It’s also a pleasure to meet you too Locien , I have heard many things about you and Skyler from Mila ‘’ Eli said before looking back at me .

‘’ Good things I hope ‘’ Locien said before chuckling .

‘’ Why did you come to my room anyway ? ‘’ I asked Skyler .

‘’ The vamps said that dinner is ready and it’s in the dining hall , I thought we could walk down all together ‘’ Skyler said before looking between Eli and I .

‘’ Sure , We should head down ‘’ I said before walking towards Skyler and standing beside him . 

All four of us walked out of my room and I walked beside Skyler and Eli and Locien walked together behind us . On the way down Eli and Locien were making small talk and that’s when I spoke to Skyler .

‘’ Don’t worry Sky , Eli won’t take me away from you , nothing will ever take me away from you . You're stuck with me until death do us apart ‘’ I said while glancing at him .

‘’ How did you know that I was thinking like that? Skyler asked, surprised .

‘’ I’m your twin Sky , I know you and after what happened with Valerian , I know that you will always think like that thanks to him ‘’ I said with spite .

‘’ I’m sorry again for what I did Mila ‘’ He said while looking at his feet .

‘’ Oh I know , that’s why I have decided to forgive you , I need my twin at his strongest , but betray me again and our bond will be broken and it will stay broken ‘’ I said with seriousness and I knew Skyler would take what I said seriously as he knew that I wasn’t lying .

We walked into the dining room that we eventually found and the minute we entered we were greeted by the sight of a long table filled with food . It was like a banquet for a king and these two men were far from that . Locien and Skyler sat where they felt comfortable and Eli and I did the same . Airion unfortunately was sitting across from me and all I could do was bare with it.

‘’   We hope that the food will be to your liking , We weren’t sure of what you all liked to eat ‘’ Sellion said with a small smile .

‘’ I say it will be better than our expectations‘’ Skyler said before loading his plate up with food and Eli and Locien did the same .But I didn’t .

‘’ Do you not like the food Emilia , is there something else that we can get you ? ‘’ Airion said , noticing that I wasn’t eating .

‘’ My sister can’t eat food , it has to do with what our father did to her ‘’ Skyler said for me .

‘’ What did he do that stops her from eating ‘’ Airion said, pressing the matter further .

‘’ Starved me until my body didn’t need food to survive ‘’ I said while looking down at my plate .

But by the silence , I could tell that they were all looking at me except for Skyler. He knew what our father did and He knew that I could never eat again because of him , my tormentor.
