I took a shower and got clean cloth. I don't think my Mom will ever be able to take the mud out of my cloth. If it even is mud... Since there were still hours of the day left, I decided to go to the Cafe.
~~~
As I walked to the cafe, I could see Sheriff Ryder on his horse with some other men. *Sigh* I would like a horse, but Mom won't let me 'till I turn 13. Wich is a few months away. I arrived at the cafe just after the lunch rush. Perfect! No line. Everything was a bit dirty, but that's how it always is at the end of the day. "Hi, Maddie." River said. Oh, right. I haven't introduced him yet. That's River, he has ginger hair and is the son of the man who runs this Cafe. So River helps out there. He's also one of my best friends. "Hi, River," I said back. "Can I have a vanilla & Strawberry sundae with 1 cherry on top please?" I asked. "Ah, You having a bad day?" He said knowing that whenever I come in here and I ask for a sundae, it means I'm having a bad day. "Yeah, kind of. I fell in the pigpen today." "Oof. What were you trying to do?" "Well, remember how I told you I wanted to be the Sheriff?" "Yeah?" He said looking a bit confused "Well, I told Sheriff Ryder, and he said I couldn't unless I proved myself. So I became his student. We began classes today, but for some reason, he just wanted to see how I reacted around pigs and mud! All he did was laugh at me." River passed my Sundae. "Well, you'll be better tomorrow." He smiled. "there is no class tomorrow. Apparently he is 'BUSY'. So I have nothing to do for the next few days." "Your Mom is opening that Candy shop tomorrow, right?" "Yeah?" "Well why don't you help her organaize the place? And after that go explore or something?" "Not a bad idea." I finished up my sundae. "Thanks, River." I said as i left. "Your welcome."
