My...room? “Henry and I don't know if you're our real son, but as long as we don't know, we would like you to live here with us.”, Sebastian explained. But what about Olin? I thought. Sebastian chuckled and said, “Olin and I talked this over, and it would be better to stay here instead of his house, since he lives with a lot of siblings.” Can he read minds? “To answer your question, yes, I can read minds.” Sebastian said with a smile on his face. So... the entire time, you...you knew what I was thinking? “I did.” Sebastian answered. “Is there a reason you don’t talk?” he asked. There isn't any, I just never talked before, so I don't know how to use my vocal cords correctly. “I don't think there should be a problem with your vocal cords if you talk normally. I think things like screaming will do some damages, so don't do that.” he told me. “Un-understood.” I answered him with a hoarse but soft voice. Sebastian chuckled and said, “Great!” with a smile on his face.
As I walked downstairs, I noticed that Olin already left. When I looked around, I saw Henry reading a book. “What kind of book are you reading?” I asked, still with that hoarse voice. Henry flinched and then looked at me. “You can talk?” he said with a surprised expression. I nodded. “To answer your question, it's a book about the evolution of the animals. “Are you interested, by any chance?” he asked. “I am interested in all books.” I replied. Henry looked at me like I said something weird and then stood up. “Wait, I'll grab you the most boring book I have then.” he said while walking towards the bookshelf that takes in the whole side of the wall. He grabbed a big, old-looking book and walked back to the table he was sitting at. He shoved the book towards me, “Read this book as fast as you can, and then tell me if you liked it or not, alright?” he said mockingly.
I grabbed the book and started to read. After two hours, I had read about 3.000 pages. The book has 5.000, so I will need 1 hour and 30 minutes. Something started to smell nice. I looked up from my book and saw that Sebastian and Henry were making something in the kitchen. I've never eaten anything else than canned food, so I wonder what they are making and how it will taste. “We're making spaghetti, Zero.” Sebastian said. “Were you reading my mind again?” I asked him. ”I was.” he immediately answered. Henry laughed. “How's it going with your book?” Henry asked. “It's going well, but I will need 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish the rest of it so please wait for my answer a bit longer.” I responded. “What book are you reading?” Sebastian asked, not knowing what we were talking about. “I gave him that one boring fantasy book with no ending and no story, just 5.000 pages of someone's daily life with no happenings.” Henry explained. “Oh, I see, but why is Zero reading it?” Sebastian asked. “He claimed that he was interested in all books.” Henry said. “So, you gave him the most boring book, just so you could prove him that not all books are interesting.” Sebastian concluded. “Yeah, basically.” Henry said.
