The next morning...

I woke up to see that Theodore is not by my side. I checked the clock to see that it already passed time for our morning jog. Geez, why didn't he wake me?!

The moment I sit I felt a sharp pain running through my back, I felt a sense of accomplishment that I did not faint on the second round. I'm finally building stamina!

I took a shower and then get dressed to have breakfast at the dining hall. I waited for my love to join me, but he didn't show up. I started to grow anxious by the minute so I went out searching for him.

As I was frantically searching around I bumped into someone. "Offf... I'm sorr-- Darling! Where were you?"

"... I was practicing, Noah." Theodore said. Our eyes met and somehow I felt something off about him.

"C'mon stop playing around, I'm hungry."

"Here, have this." Theodore handed me a green apple which made me confused.

"Thank you? Now, let's go." I put the apple inside my pocket and then linked my arm around him, but he didn't move. "Theo...?"

"Huh? Where are we going?"

"Seriously sweetie, are you ill? Maybe the aftereffect of the marking hit you or something, we were going to eat breakfast."

"Oh, right, let's go." Theodore smiled and then kissed me gently.

"Now that's m-my Theo."

"Aww... Say that again!" Theodore said excitedly.

"M-My Theo!"

"Again!"

"My Theo, yea, yea, get a room already and stop flirting in the hallway." May said as she brushed passed us.

"Shut up, I can finally be honest to my love." Theodore said.

"My... My love?! Does that means Noah knows that you are--"

"Madly in love with him? Yes." I blushed by Theodore's statement that I hid my face behind my hands.

"God finally! Congratulations! Now let's go have breakfast, I'm starving." May's profile looked exhausted.

"Are you okay May? You look tired." I asked.

"You look like a panda." Theodore said.

"Ugh... I stopped my research and stayed up all night researching about curses and marks and I couldn't find anything that looks similar to Theo's mark."

"I don't really care, I will never submit to anything or anyone... Except for you my love, I will be submissive to you."

"Simp." Theodore rolled his eyes and then karate-chopped May on the head. "Ouch! This is your husband! A violent man!" I laughed at their banter and we ate dinner. "Well... I'm going to sleep, I'm so tired!"

"Have a good rest May." I said then waved goodbye. Once we were done with breakfast, I went to pick up a book about first aid and then joined Theo in the garden.

"What are you reading honey?" My husband asked.

"A book about applying first-aid, I noticed you get injured and I want to be useful to you and others." I answered him.

"Aww... My love! You don't need to be useful to me, though first-aid would come in handy in case something happened to you when I'm not around." I leaned closer to Theodore and he welcomed my advance by hugging me close. "You know this is all I wanted in my life. A beautiful home, nice friends, and you."

"Me...? Why is it that you love me, Theo? I know you're not shallow enough to love me just for my appearance."

"Well... That is a story for another day. I just want you to know that you are my everything. I'm ready to die for you!"

"Please don't die, I want to be with you for the longest!"

"Me too!"

"Excuse me Sire Theodore, there's an urgent letter that needed for you to read." Christine said. Theodore closed his eyes and then took a deep breath.

"Alright..." Theodore trailed off and kissed me for the longest time. "I'll come back for you."

"Okay, I... I... I love you!" Aaaaah! I said it again.

"I love you too." Theodore followed the maid, as for me I closed the book and then walked around the garden. I noticed that the garden has a lot of lily of the valley-- my favorite flower. It's a coincidence that they were planted there. I felt something round in my pocket and realized it was the apple my love handed to me. I took a bite then inhaled the greenery which made me feel refreshed.

Being one with nature makes me feel really strong, but it is not as effective as the moonlight, but now for some reason, I felt heavy and my eyes were shutting down. I don't know if it's because of the John incident, or the strange marking on my husband, or maybe because of the wild night I spent with him.

Theodore POV.

Once I was done replying to the letter, I rushed back to Noah only to not find him there. Where did he go? Maybe he is wandering around?

"No--" I froze in my place when I saw Noah unconscious on the floor. "My love!" I wrapped my arms around him. His breathing is stable and there is no sign of discomfort, as though he is in a deep sleep. Was he is so tired that he fell asleep? I carried him to our bedroom and let him rest.

A day passed and Noah still didn't wake up which made me grow more anxious. "Whassup Theo, you look like someone punched you in the gut." May said then poked my shoulder. "Were you dumped by Noah~?"

"Noah has been asleep for the whole day, it's unlike him, my love is a light sleeper."

"... You're right, that IS unlike him, could it be the effect of your marking?"

"Maybe..."

"I'll go check on him." May went back to her tower to get her weird alchemy clay. I don't understand what it is, but it detects any abnormalities in someone's body.

"So what's wrong with my love?" May was silent as she scanned Noah's body, her clay turned from orange to green the moment it got close to Noah's lips.

"... Bro, someone poisoned Noah." 

"What?! Poisoned?! How? When?"

"It has been a while since he got infected, it's a really heavy dose too."

"We must find an antidote!"

"I will run some tests and see what kind of poison he was laced with, how, and when he got poisoned."

"Okay, I trust you May."

After six hours of test running May was finally done. "How did it go?" I asked as I offered her a cup of coffee.

"This poison... Whatever it is, it's something I never encountered before... It literally screams 'I am an ancient lethal poison' Noah encountered it through eating something yesterday."

"But we all ate the same meals together, not to mention we feed one another, so if he got poisoned then so should I."

"Maybe your immune system resisted the poisoning? Let me run the same test on you."

After another six hours, May's expression was confused by the results. "Huh... There is no sign of whatever on Noah in your system, too bad, I was gonna turn you into an antidote for him."

"What are we going to do now?!"

"I... I... To be honest, I don't know..."

"What do you mean you don't know?! What if Noah stays like this forever? What if he dies?!"

"Theodore Black get a grip! I am an alchemist, not a doctor! My medical knowledge is not that vast, not to mention Noah is strong, we just need to give it some time, I'll contact Fiona, maybe she knows what to do?"

"Who's Fiona?"

"Just a friend I know from college, she's a doctor."
