Gohan then gives Trunks a Senzu bean, saving him from death yet again. Trunks brings Gohan back to Capsule Corporation where he recovers and resumes training Trunks.

Meanwhile, on the way to the portal to the Gourmet Graves through the tunnel, Paul Gekko's group and Karai are ambushed by the Shredder. Karai decided to stop the Shredder from attacking Paul Gekko. "Get away from my comrade!" Karai yelled. "The twilight realm has made you weak! But it has made me strong! You have failed and now your power will be mine." Shredder bragged. Seeing the battlefield, Gohan and Karai managed to penetrate Shredder's armor and revealed the spirit of Oroku Saki. The explosion had injured Karai and killed Gohan. "Anatawa Hitorijanai." Karai said with a slow and silent voice. "KARAI!" Paul Gekko yelled. Raphael grabbed Paul Gekko and said, "NO! The Rebels must live on!".

After escaping the interior of Gourmet Graves, Paul Gekko alerts Splinter that Eggman's base is collapsing. "Paul Gekko! As long as the Jedi lives! There is Hope!" said Splinter. The Galactic Rebels managed to get back to the S.S. Atlantis without being injured in the process.
