Neverender Fest
Part 1
Arana Neverender.
She still remembers the day they met. She never felt fear like the one she felt that day.
Eleven years ago.
-Mom. - she heard coming from Dorian’s mouth.
Arana began to tremble slightly, trying to maintain the smile with which she arrived.
-This is my girlfriend, Arana. – he said while Arana closed her eyes slightly, her smile became way more genuine at that moment.
After sighing Arana introduced herself.
-A pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Fender. I am Princess Arana, the third daughter of King Arman the Second and Queen Nikah. – she said while bending. She bowed.
She saw her, the mother of the boy that had taken her heart. She raised an eyebrow looking at her son, Dorian smiled, and she then touched Arana’s shoulder.
Arana slowly turned to her.
-Nice to meet you, Arana. I’m Rebeca. Dorian has told me a lot about you. – she said while hugging Arana.
Arana and Dorian sighed, finally allowing themselves to relax.
Rebeca invited them to the yard’s table, soon she would begin preparing the meal.
Hours passed in the Fender’s yard; Dorian talked about how they met. Arana, for a moment, turned to their house. While looking at the garage door, she smiled.
-The first day he went out off the planet, he told me a story about the day you moved into this house. Arana said before taking a sip from her water.
- Oh yeah? And what did he tell you? – Rebeca asked intrigued.
-He told me ye help him accept that change with excitement instead of fear. -
-Don’t be so formal. – she said with a smile while taking Dorian’s hand.
Dorian turned to Arana with a big smile, their date to introduce them was a success.
When night came, Arana stood up and extended her hand to Rebeca.
They both said goodbye, being grateful for meeting each other. Rebeca offered her to stay the night, that she could rest and wait till dawn.
-There are no days or nights up there. – Arana replied with a smile.
The three of them laughed at the princess’ answer.
-They do exist, they just don’t know how to realize that. – Dorian whispered to his mother.
Rebeca just shook her head because of her son’s remarks.
While her transport ship descended, Arana managed to listen to a final comment.
-I really liked that girl. –
Her heart warmed and a smile took control of her face.
Arana entered the ship extremely happy.
Present-day.
Four days after Ouroboros’ attack.
Mara Empire’s Patrol Ship.
-We should bring them a present. – Dorian said, thinking about how to come back home this time.
-I think two new granddaughters are enough to make them smile. –
Dorian and Arana looked to the horizon through the window. They held hands and walked to Noah’s room.
They hugged each other at the sight of their son still not waking up.
-Your mom would love a new backpack. – Arana said trying to hide her voice cracking.
