The next day arrive in the clear morning with Fond sleeping sound in bed.
"Norveil." She said while dreaming away, that is until.
"Fond, get up! It's time for breakfast!" I yell from downstairs knowing that would wake her up.
"Was that Norveil? And did she say breakfast?" Said by Fond Who was getting out of bed with Messy hair.
"Hurry up Fond!" As I repeat I grab the pan that had the eggs inside and flip them with the spatula in hand. Feeling that this was going to be a fun morning.
"Norveil?" Fond came downstairs calling out only to see that once she made it into the kitchen there was a table full of a bright and welcoming display, with bacon, eggs, toast and waffles.
"Wow." Fond eyes lit up with enormous awe and total unexpectness. I smile upon seeing that.
"Have a seat kiddo." I ready a chair as I said.
"O--ok!" Fond did just as instruct while I had hand out to her a plate.
"This, looks so?" Fond said looking at the food on her plate.
"Dig in, it's all made for you." I had done the same after I said that.
(Is this real? I've never seen a meal like this since.)
Fond took a bite as she form those thoughts. And once she did she felt a blissful sensation, the food tasting as something she has hardly experience in her time being alive.
"Delicious!!" She yells as she continue stuffing her face with food.
"Hehehe." (That must mean a job well done on my end.) The thoughts form by me as I happily watch her eating her food feeling like I accomplished something grand today.
After 6 minutes of watching her eat, she was finish.
"What did you think?" I wink.
"I haven't had food like that, in such a long time." Said by Fond as she star at her plate for a good moment.
"Really? Has it truly been that long?" As I ask that question, Fond slowly lift her head up and look directly towards me.
"Yes ever since she pass away."
"Who exactly?" I said as I fold my hands together.
"The first owner of the orphanage and someone who was the closest I had to a mother, Maria Marley." Said by Fond.
"Maria Marley huh? Was she anything like Intergre, seeing as they share a last name?"
"No, nothing at all, Ms Marley was nothing like her sister at all, if anything she was a complete angel while Ms Intergre was the total opposite." Fond close her eyes after saying that. I could see that Fond must have truly car about this Maria Marley, it must have been truly hard for her after her passing.
"When did her passing happen?"
"Around the time I was six, ever since then I along with the others at the orphanage dealt with Intergre."
"How unfortunate." I tilt my head down when I said that.
"Yeah…" Same went for Fond.
"Well you no longer have to worry about Intergre any longer." I said As I stood up.
"Where will I go now? Another orphanage?"
"Not quite." Said by me as I grab both dishes and place them in the sink.
"I think, maybe I'll have you stay with me for the time being."
"What?" Fond had reveal a wide-eyed expression as I told her that.
"Yeah I think it would be the safest place for you." I then began washing the dishes as I explain.
"Fond, there's no doubt in my mind that you've been through a lot, that's why when it comes to what I think would do best for you, staying with me is the safest place right now for you."
"Really?" Fond said opening up to the option.
"Yes, If you like to stay that is." I then had finish the dishes as I spoke.
"It's your choice at the end of the day, Fond."
"I…"
Fond took a minute to pause having flashback glimpses of what she had endure before our encounter.
(Norveil, If it wasn't for you I'd probably be dead right now, to be honest you are the only person I feel safe around, I Don't really know what to expect of this city or the people in it but I do know someone like you is the only shining light to this place. I don't want to be separated from that light.) "Norveil I want to stay with you." She said slightly nervous while blushing.
Upon hearing that I turn around and show Fond my purest smile.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." Said Fond.
In that moment It was my duty to take care of Fond, so whatever happen it was all on me.
