Yet I felt so out of place. Although being raised in luxury. The previous Emperor wasn't to kind in terms of payment to those around him, keeping the wealth to himself. Something I heard Mother and Father talking about when they thought I wasn't listening. I never thought too much of it, but I did wonder why we didn't live in the same kind of luxury as other previous Generals. So my own room was never this nice.

" Now if you excuse me I need to help my brother with the report, also ring the bell if you need anything Empress" he tells me running to join his brother. I can't help but smile at their antics. Especially Rougyao reminds me so much of Taio. With his smile and cheery personality.
Thinking of him made me even more homesick than I already was. But now that we've taken the capital. Mother,Father and Taio will be coming for the wedding. The thought makes me shudder. I don't know how I feel about him. He would be someone who I would perhaps know as a associate but as a husband? Never would it cross my mind. I pace up and down my room, something I tend to do when I'm anxious. The rooms slowly becomes darker and darker until I realise the sun is settting.
Then it hits me in full. Similar to a punch in the gut. Tiredness. I ring the bell lazily and in about two minutes a maid is helping me with my hair and bed robes. After that I climb into bed and fall into a dreamless slumber.
Time skip two weeks
It's been two weeks since I have been brought to Shoudu. I have settled into a routine. A boring one at that. It's wake up, eat breakfast, go for a walk, eat lunch, either read or draw since I'm not allowed to write letters just yet, due to them trying to weed out the last of the Traitors before revealing my identity to the public. Then eat dinner, bath and last but not least sleep. It was uneventful to put it nicely. None of my maids would talk to me scared to upset my betrothed. To top it off he hasn't visited me once. Like he forgot about me although I don't know him it still stung.
