Later that day it was steaming hot, the sun was producing heat for the whole of Atlas.
Nobody was outside, the local robin's were sitting on a branches of trees in the cool shade, and the water from the lovely local lake was draining rapidly by the second.
The weather had never been this bad, they had discovered quite warm temperatures but this one was by far the highest recorded in decades.
Madilynn was sitting in her room waiting for the wind to arrive; it was far to hot to do anything outside and inside, walking a few steps would make you sweat.
It was terrible, she wanted to go out but the warmth would probably kill her- maybe not but make her faint.
Being to warm was the thing Madilynn hated the most, she would go outside when it was raining barefoot and watch the water drain between her toes.
If a raindrop would splash onto her face she would ignore it, sometimes it even felt nice, but right now was the time she needed most water.
Wildfires had already started, not in the state of Mineville (Where Madilynn currently lived) but in most other states.
And of course her parents had taken all of their fans and put them in the living room; where they sat watching TV.
And she strictly forbidden to enter unless she was asked, which would probably only happen if they wanted something of course.
How annoying.
Madilynn had overheard on the wireless this morning that the wildfires had gotten worse, which was bad news.
