Zero's POV:
What did I just witness? Out of pure confusion I asked, “What is love?” in a weak voice. They both looked at me with pity in their eyes. “Love is affection, and a level of trust in each other.” Sebastian answered carefully. They talked about trust in that fantasy book, so I got a rough idea of what it entails. They tested trust with a trust fall in the book. So, trust is knowing that someone is there for you. “I have the perfect book to learn about love, if you want to read it.” Henry said to me. That kind of book would come in handy. “I would like to read that book, but not today. Is it possible to read it tomorrow?” I asked hesitantly. “Of course!” Henry replied.
I stared to get tired so I tried asking for permission, “Am I allowed to go to bed?” After I asked that they both looked very confused. “You don’t need permission from us, just do whatever you feel like doing, Zero.” Sebastian eventually answered. I see. So I don’t have to ask. As I walked upstairs I remembered that I still needed to shower. Do I need permission for this? No wait, he just said that I can do whatever I want, right? This much freedom is confusing me. How does this shower even work? I started undressing and noticed that my bruises were starting to heal. I suppose that’s a good sign. As I was looking at my bruises, I saw something move behind me. I turned around and…it’s the mirror again. I let out a deep sigh. Gosh, I really don’t like that thing. When I was done getting ready, I walked towards my bed. It looks so soft. I let myself fall down and I fell asleep immediately.
I opened my eyes, where am I? As I looked around, I noticed that I was laying down on an operation table with my hands and feet tied down. There were three figures standing around me. One was holding a scalpel and the others were…holding my stomach open?! What are they doing to me?! I tried to scream for help, but no voice came out. I tried to move my body, it didn’t work. They paralysed me! The surgeon holding the scalpel, put the scalpel down on a small table, and inserted his had inside my stomach. I suddenly felt an indescribable pain. I screamed at the top of my lungs and woke up.
