He looked at his gadget. In the press of a button, he was back on AA001, the home planet. The drones took up aerial grounds. People walked about the large auditorium. He stood in front of the Planet Management HQ.

"Why did the ES terminate Aerah? Who gave the order? Was it you, senior?" he asked. A grey-haired man sat at an executive desk, tapping away on the hologram.

"Why did you have to meddle with human affairs?" he replied.

"So you did?"

"She wasn't a human. I'm sure of it. She remembered everything as she held my hand. Help me. Help me save her", he said as he held the old man's hand.

"She remembered?" his eyes widened, "Aerah is the name?" He tapped away and stopped after a few minutes.

"That's why!" He exclaimed.

"Her mom was taken down by the ES when she was 2. Her dad was wanted by the Inter spatial Crime Unit", he stopped.

"A forbidden child? The child of an alien and a human?", Ha Neul murmured.

"I will meet her once more. Make sure ES doesn't come to know", he continued before turning around.

"Aren't you asking for too much?"

"Just this once. Think of this as the last favour you do for me as a fellow being"

"What do you mean last favour?", he said pushing his glasses back up on his nose.

"Start processing my identity withdrawal and transfer of assets"

"Identity withdrawal? Are you sure? You will not have your powers anymore. You will be a normal huma-"

"I only need to go back to her"

"An iced Americano please", she rustled through her bag pulling out her wallet and the card in it. While waiting, she looked around. Christmas nights have always been as charming...and lonely. The tree at the entrance of the cafe lit the entire area. The buildings outside were decorated in bright led lights and stars.

She rushed out the second exit. "Oh my god, what the f*ck?"

Whatever it was she just witnessed, she wished to un-see instantly. The blue spandex like material on the body turned one by one, revealing what looked like reflectors. In another second, it had become a normal human being dressed in winter clothes. From bottom-up she stole a quick glance, her hands covering her mouth. He lifted his black fedora revealing his near-perfect jawline. She watched in awe as he blinked, it was as though she watched it in slo-mo. Her heart skipped a beat. He smiled and held out his hand.

"Ah, you want to learn my language? Here", he smiled and held her hand. The smile wiped off her face, she looked at his face. Tears rolled down her cheeks. "I told you to come earlier", she cried as he embraced her.

"Wait a little more. In 2 days..I will meet you again in 2 days"

*"A day in our planet is a year here..."*, his words resonated in her mind. She nodded. She smiled as they bid goodbye.

Earth, 2 years later

"Right? I told you, brown suits you more", she smiled as she put the cardigan over him. Tom, the owner, laid out a decorated piece of cake on the table.

"Mmm, the cheesecake is amazing, Tom. How do you manage to come up with such recipes? Daniel, should we buy one for Rachel?"

"Sweetheart, why don't you buy yourself one, first?" he said pulling the plate towards him.

"SWEETHEART?", Ha Neul stood at the exit of the cafe. Aerah and Daniel looked back startled. Aerah's eyes widened. He rushed in towards Daniel.

"Who is Rachel?", he demanded.

"Our daughter", Daniel answered. Tom and Aerah stood beside them. Ha Neul looked at Aerah. Aerah looked at Daniel and Tom and back at Ha Neul.

"I took too long didn't I?" he cried as he collapsed on the chair.

"Ha Neul..", she said as she gave him water.

"Ha Neul it's..."

"I took too long", he said crying and leaning his head on her shoulders. She held him, saying nothing.

"Ah yes, you took too long. I married this dude over here and we have a beautiful daughter", she finally said. Ha Neul lifted his head, sniffing and tearing up.

"I took too long", he said dropping his head into his palm. Ha Neul looked up to see the three burst out in laughter.

Daniel and Tom held hands, "Rachel is our daughter". Ha Neul looked on, dumbfounded. Aerah put her hand forward, "I have offered my hand only to you", he reached out holding her hands.

"Am I allowed to come to your house then?"

"What are you so excited about doing at my house?"

"I want to watch movies with you. I want to make you breakfa-"

"You drive", she said passing the key to him.

"It was a good decision to transfer the assets; I bought the house next to you"

"What?!"

"Oh, I also bought a car. Oh wait you got to see this, I have an earth ID now..."

The two drove off into the street.
