«I don’t understand,» Leo frowned, «why would he do that?»
«Maybe, dear uncle, you were wrong about him.»
«Perhaps I was.»
Prince Leo had long ago realized that he was a noble fool who not only failed to notice the people around him, but in principle was not into anything but his own ambitions.
Thinking of Prince Galh’s nobility, Leo felt ashamed. He had been rude to that mage. Wait a minute, after all, he had accompanied them to their studies. The prince himself had been so humiliated to do him the honor...
And those meetings in his room... which were quite intimate... would he himself have received someone while he bathed? Maybe Prince Galh isn’t arrogant at all. Maybe he’s trying to be close to people.
After that, Leo gave up his vague thoughts about his ex-fiancé and went back to work. There was still much to do. After a while he felt tired and decided he wanted to get away.
After learning to move through space with the seals, he consciously went to the «nine blisses,» as if something beckoned him there. The red-colored room on the third floor was occupied.
But on an inner impulse he opened the door and saw a scrawny figure in the background of a single dim candle.
«Is that you?!» Leo almost gasped and rushed into the room.
«Did you miss me?»
Leo wanted to light some more candles, but the young man immediately put them out.
In an awkward pause, Leo took his hands and they sank down on the bed.
«The prince broke your heart, and that’s why you left?»
There was understanding and concern in Leo's words. He could see that he had thought for days and nights about the actions of a man whose name he did not know.
«I looked for you everywhere, but you just disappeared, and I dont even know your name.
«Aurus,» the young man answered suddenly.
«Aurus... so you are free? You are not a slave?»
«I am.»
«Then whose son are you, where is your home, and why have you been living in Rau’s palace? Are you related to him?»
«Too many questions. I have an elderly mother, and I am close to Rau.»
«I see,» Leo was still clutching his hands, but he didn’t know what to say next.
«Isn't it amazing that we met today?» the young man suddenly asked him.
«...»
«I missed you, didn’t you?»
«Since I’m here,» Leo swallowed, and his eyes darkened with desire, «I... missed you madly.»
That’s all what Galh wanted to hear. He threw him down on the bed and kissed him, undressing him. Button by button, he deftly freed him from his clothes.
«Wait, what about your feelings for the prince?»
«Do you think that’s infidelity?»
Leo nodded sincerely. He didn’t want half of someone’s heart, he wanted it all.
«I have no feelings for him, we are like brothers,» the young man answered slyly and pulled the zipper on Leo's pants with his teeth.
If he was still able to think about anything up to this point, he couldn’t anymore. The hot breath that burned his manhood drove him mad. He rolled over and pressed the supple, cat-like young man against the bed.
Releasing his clothes, he grasped at his milky tender body like a drowning man at straws, as if in him alone was all his meaning, his beginning and his end. Galh noticed a strange change in his character and responded very sensitively to all the caresses.
He moaned and scratched and bit, and at other times he lay exhausted, feeling tears run down his hair.
Leo was gentle and rough, slow and very hurried. It was as if he had lost his mind that night, and wanted to make up for the time they had been apart. Galh didn’t mind. He obediently melted into his arms, assuming poses that were to his liking. The only thing he worried about was the light in the room.
The dim candle could not allow Leo to see Galh’s face, and that was all that mattered. Completely exhausted by lovemaking, they fell asleep. Galh awoke first and quietly gathered himself. He could not let the dawn take him by surprise. He did not yet know how to extinguish the sun.
Throwing a parting glance at the sleeping Leo, he left the room, shutting the door quietly. When Leo awoke, the pillow beside him was cold and the man was gone.
Leo slammed his arm into the stranger’s pillow in impotence and closed his eyes.
Just as the prince had said, Aurus had found him when he wanted him to. But only, why did he leave so hastily? Leo scolded himself for being overly ardent last night; perhaps he had repulsed the young man with it.
Leo walked home thoughtfully. He still had a lot of work ahead of him, and he traveled around the country solving people’s problems and restoring their faith in the good. And so a few months passed. It was nearing the end of the year.
Leo returned home to celebrate the day with his family. The castle was festively decorated, with decorations hanging everywhere that the younger Rau had made while he stayed home.
Along with a festive dinner and cheerful music, everyone was in a great mood. Suddenly a guest appeared on the doorstep. At first everyone was confused, but later came to their senses and welcomed Prince Galh.
With hands full of gifts and treats, the prince burst into their festive hallway and caused his little apprentice to cheer.
At first there was awkwardness at the table, but after a few goblets of wine, the atmosphere melted away by itself. Prince Galh was an excellent storyteller and completely captivated his nephew Leo and his wife with his charisma, not to mention their young son.
After supper he practiced wand wielding with the child, and so he sent him off to bed. It was getting late. Lying in his bed, Galh could not sleep. He still hadn’t figured out a way to turn into Aurus for the night, and everything inside him was aching and yearning for Leos rough hands.
Prince Leo couldn’t sleep either. Finally, he got angry and snuck into the kitchen. Sitting at an empty table, he was drinking the rest of his wine when Galh joined him.
He silently poured him wine and their glasses clinked.
«There’s a problem,» Galh spoke when their glasses were almost empty.
