There once was a spider
So tiny was he, he had small little arms
He could never grab a thing
He had tall walls to keep him at bay
So he had to stay at his home of dismay
He had a basket so big and so far he would never touch it for there was the wall
With a photo on a wall he had never seen
With a tiny kitten he would never meet
And a bed where he could never sleep
A door with a loud creak, to never be used only, to rot away from dew
Oh bless, Oh bless
This man is a mess
He needs someone to help but no one could
those darn walls stood
Keeping away anything that tried to help him
Oh bless, Oh bless
This man was a mess
How sad was he, a sad little man a hat o’ top his head to never take off
He had a wife never to be seen for the walls kept her at bay
She cried and cried looking for whom she missed
But those darn walls never cared a bit
