Chapter one 

Legend says of a horned creature with one big eye on the face and smaller eyes on the neck and other half of the face. But it wasn’t always like this. It says that in the old library there was the librarian and his daughter. However, soon his daughter became ill and became a Daranomene. Daranomene are broken souls tainted by a will to see someone one last time. The person wishes to be with that person and out of despair become a Daranomene. Daranomene can take any form depending on the person. Out of sadness for the fact his daughter was not human anymore the librarian seeked for a cure. But…Never found one with his daughter becoming a Daranomene the librarian committed suicide hangging from the tree in the back garden.  Legend says that if you go to the abandoned library and see the beast you and prove it will be rewarded for your braviary. But this is what really happens in the Abandoned Library of Kenmare, County Kerry.

                                              Diary of Marlice day 2

I’m lonely after dad was gone I had nobody to talk to. It's also weird having a “new” body. I can't get over the fact I’m not human any more. I mean I have one big eye on my face and many on the neck I can see all around me without moving. But even so I can’t have the beautiful library go to ruin.

• 1. Clean the floor

• 2. Clean the window

• 3. Organize the books

• 4. Dust the shelves 

• 5. Water the garden

• 6. Clean the kitchen 

• 7. Harvest the garden

• 8.Wait for anyone to come and give them a nice greeting like dad says to when greeting new guests

I have been doing the same cleaning list everyday and waiting but no one has come. I will continue to do the same thing but I just want someone to talk to.

                                         Chapter two

                                  Diary of Marlice day 92?

I stopped counting cause I waited day after day and no one has come but today everyday is different today.  I started talking to myself cause I’m alone but a stray cat came. I fed the cat and I guess the cat doesn't want to leave. I named it Starlight. I think it has a nice ring to it.

                                  Diary of Marlice day ???

I can’t keep track of the days cause I have been taking care of Starlight. Everything seemed to blend together and it turns out Starlight likes kids picture books. Also I found a weird book and some corrupted elemental is here now.  Apparently it’s name is Eclipse and it just wants a friend so I guess I have a friend now?

Eclipse: M’L lady are you listening?

Marlice: (looks up from the diary) H-huh? Oh yeah sorry I was writing in my notebook.

Starlight: (wakes up from nap)me-ow~

Marlice: Sorry did I wake you from your nap?

Starlight: Mew.

Eclipse and Marlice: Ah-hahahahahah!

Eclipse: M’L lady you should drink your tea before it gets cold.

Marlice: How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me “M’L lady” and just call me by my name Marlice!?

Eclipse: However, I am your butler. How else should someone of my status refer to you as?

Marlice: (sigh) All right fine call me whatever you want also thanks for bringing the tea.

                                         Chapter three

The tea was strawberry lemon in the gold accented cup with a piece of strawberry cheesecake on the side. It shined as the light from the library windows shined. It was difficult to reach the tea with a sleepy Starlight in your lap but it was achievable. Starlight sniffed the shiny gold and white plate and attempted to try and eat the cheesecake.

Marlice: Starlight! Don’t eat the cheesecake, it could be bad for kitties!

Starlight: (In a agitated tone) Me-eow

Marlice: Ugh Starlight go play somewhere else ok?

Starlight walked off down the long hallway filled with books that go wall to wall. On the ceiling are soft lit lamps hanging giving the room a cozy vibe. On the small side table next to Marlice are a stack of books, one flower pot with a single rose, the tea, and a white plate accented with gold holding a cheesecake.

                               Chapter four

Marlice: (sigh) Starlight what am I going to do with you?

Eclipse: M’L lady I have made dinner. Shall you join us?

Marlice: Yes I will join you. I will be there in a few minutes.

Eclipse: Very well M’L lady I shall go now.

Eclipse disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. 

Marlice: (Sigh) I guess I better pick up this mess.

It took about 3 minutes to fully clean up. But the walk to the dining room itself is a minute and that's if you don’t get lost. Marlice had to walk out the long library, down the big stairs but if you slide down the railing you save 30 seconds, then take a right and walk into the big dining room.
