The sun streaked across my closed eyelids; their rays were a warmth that soaked into my face. I felt sore. Incredibly sore.
I moved my arm and winced immediately, everywhere felt tender.
There was this heavy pressure against my stomach. I worried about what it could be and took slow, deep breaths just to see if I could.
There was a slight tenderness in my ribs, but otherwise, there was no internal pressure when breathing so it wasn't from that.
A soft moan made me freeze and my movement made me realize I suddenly had two extra legs.
I gulped and lowered the blanket to stare at a beautiful petite face surrounded by short dark brown hair that fell against the woman's cheek.
She groaned again and then pushed into where I had pulled back. Her body pressed against me hungrily, and I realized that our skin was touching.
Skin to Skin!
My brain processed this as if set to slow… 'That means neither of us was wearing clothes…. Right?'
'Right?' I stared down at her confused how this had happened.
'Had I slept with someone last night and not remembered? That wasn't a normal evening for me.'
Her leg raised higher in between mine, so high up that it almost grazed the forbidden zone and my eyes bulged. I stopped moving frozen to the spot.
The whole night from before came flooding back to me and I opened my mouth in a silent... Ahhh.
'Right, that had happened… I was being chased up the hill in the pouring rain by more unknown assailants just like always. And on the night I had given Jae the night off too!'
'Ah, why does trouble follow you everywhere you go?' I actually knew the answer to that already, my brain just didn't want to process it yet, because that information still hurt a little like my tender ribs.
'The information that people who should care about me didn't and yet a stranger had saved me, despite the personal cost.'
'This woman, Mina… she had saved my life.'
"Mina…" I whispered. Her skin shimmered a creamy white, and I gazed at it entranced… it looked soft, like pudding and I wondered if it felt like it too. I wanted to concentrate on where our skin was in contact.
'Ah, what kinda pervert are you!' I snapped internally before blinking and looking away.
My heart was beating faster.
"Mina." I said clearer, clearing my throat self consciously and winced at how loud it had come out.
She shot up in surprise.
I stayed lying down, knowing how much I was hurting, and that if I followed her it would be a bad decision.
"Ahh, crazy, son of a…. Ahh oh my gosh… the pain. It hurts everywhere. Ahhh," She rubbed the back of her neck whimpering at her own pain. I stared at her trying to find the words to say she was sitting up in front of me in a bra. Exposed.
But nothing came out.
She looked down, then as if just realizing I was there her face became embarrassed and flushed red; she looked over at me. I looked away quickly.
"Don't look!" She squeaked, cutely.
I sucked in a smile, but obediently looked away.
"Thank you for last night," I said gratefully.
"Ah, no! No, no, no, no, don't say it like that... Nothing happened!" She held up her hands and waved them in the air at me frantically.
I mean... We had to sleep together…" She stuttered.
"No, I mean… So what I mean is…"
"Ah! No, I am such an idiot, that's not what I meant!" She stumbled around her words, her voice soft, flustered and unsteady.
I peeked back at her; She was scrambling around for her clothes and realizing nothing close by to us was in a suitable state for wearing.
Her bright red face fell deflated as she stared dumbfounded on what to do.
"Dooo, you want the blanket?" I asked her politely.
"Ah, no! No!" she shouted, alarmed realizing that would leave me naked, in front of her.
I stifled another chuckle. "It's okay, really… You left me in my underwear, right?" I raised an eyebrow, knowing full well she had but still teasing her, anyway.
She flushed brightly.
"Of course! She looked nervous and unsure of what to do, but seemed to calm down and decided.
… Just don't look alright." She whispered.
"I promise I would never do such a dishonor to my savior," I said gently holding up a hand with the blanket in it, and she met it with a welcome sigh of relief. I looked away, but took a small glance back, when she sucked in air as she moved out, with the blanket.
My eyebrows furrowed with worry. 'She hurt herself to save you, dummy."
"Are you looking?" She asked half nervous, half annoyed.
I laughed and held up my hands in mock surrender and looked away completely.
"I swear, I promise, I will not look."
She stood up with a groan of frustration and I felt another pang of responsibility for her pain. I heard her struggling to hop away as she wrapped herself in the blanket and bounced off to the other room quickly; I felt the wind and heard her quick steps slap against the warm wooden floor. The door off to the left and behind me clicked shut, and I turned to stare at it.
I clicked my tongue at her door and chuckled.
"Never in all my time have I met a woman brave enough to climb on top of a man, remove both of our clothes, crawl into bed. Then wake up and shyly run away announcing nothing happened... What a wound to my pride." I mumbled to myself while grinning brightly.
I winced and touched the side of my head that was swollen and aching, my fingers gently felt the large cut that ran across it, it wasn't too big, but it had already scabbed over.
The door opened and Mina came back into my field of vision; she crouched down looking away and held out the blanket we both had covered up with last night. I recovered myself up and sat up straight billowing the surrounding blanket out of politeness, not necessity, because I actually felt pretty warm. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a cute pink sweater that covered up everything that had been exposed before.
I pouted a little.
"Ah is something wrong… Does it still hurt there?"
"Do you think you can move?" She asked me quickly not even giving me a breath of time to answer.
"You should let me answer one question before asking more." I grinned.
"Ah, right?" She smiled at me, her eyes lighting on my cut.
"As soon as you can move, I want to take you to the hospital." She said worry stretched across her face.
"Ahh, what am I saying? I need to call an ambulance!" She realized smacking her head lightly with her palm, then started to stand.
"No!" I reached out and held her hand firmly, stopping her in her tracks.
