«Your Highnesses, everything is ready for your wedding.»
«Let me go, I’ll do it,» the queen knocked on the red door, «Galh, my son, are you all right? Mom worried.»
The door suddenly opened.
«My goodness!»
The queen spluttered in her palms and turned away. On the threshold stood two crazies with total chaos on their heads. Their barely covered bodies were marked with numerous hickeys and scratches.
The queen was thinking fast. She suddenly turned and called for her elite band of mages.
«Our newlyweds began their honeymoon early. Give them back a decent look so they don’t disgrace our kingdoms.»
About ten men in light-colored robes burst into the stuffy red room. First they opened the windows and added fresh air. Then they bathed each of the suitors separately and used healing spells to bring them back to their proper appearance.
Only an hour later, two luxurious carriages drove away from the "house of the nine beatitudes", followed at speed by the other guests. The carriages climbed a high hill and then descended into the sunny valley where the newly built temple stood.
Galh glanced back and forth at Leo, who was watching him intently. They regretted going separately, but the queen foresaw it and knew that they would surely crumple their clothes if they rode together, or not get there at all.
The ceremony itself was very simple. The hardest part was waiting for all the guests from the four corners of the earth to gather. And then the short words of promise and again the excruciating part «receiving congratulations.
Galh’s back was already aching and his legs ached, so Leo supported him under his elbow, whispering sweet pleasantries that made him blush.
At one point Leo looked at his husband and asked:
«I was absolutely born without the abilities of magic, I wanted to be a mage, but all the tests showed that I was not gifted. How is it that I suddenly changed? Was it because I went behind the barrier and came back?»
«No,» Galh nodded and smiled.
«But you know how?»
«Yes, I do.»
«Don’t keep me waiting.»
«Haven’t you figured it out yet?» Galh looked at him with a sly smile.
«А?»
«Back in the tent, when we first came out from behind the barrier.»
«We slept together.»
Galh nodded.
«And you shared your gift with me?» Leo guessed.
«Yes,» Galh smiled again.
Leo blinked. Whether it was the bright sun or the realization of it all, his eyes were stinging.
«You’ve fulfilled my lifelong dream... Galh... you’ve done more for me than anyone else... Why was our path to happiness so long?»
«Perhaps it was not our time, or we could not understand each other correctly, and then other people intervened and things went too far.»
«Then... we shouldn’t find ourselves in those situations anymore.»
«Hmmm...»
«The only place I want to be right now is in our red room.»
«I’ve got something for us,» Galh winked, «just wait another half hour.»
They did, indeed, wait a while longer, and then Galh carried them to a stunningly comfortable cottage by the sea. It had white, semi-circular balconies on the second floor overlooking the garden, and a large terrace in the backyard overlooking the coast.
Best of all, there was not a single person within twenty miles of this paradise.
Food and other amenities were plentiful, so they could simply indulge in leisure, debauchery, and idleness.
In vain did the servants and royal kin look for them at the great feast in the valley-these two had paid their debts in full and simply wanted to hide from the world and live for themselves.
A year later, guests came to their snow-white cottage - Prince Leo’s nephew wanted to consult with his uncle about an important matter.
«Dear Uncle, we would like to make an engagement for our son, but first, we decided to ask your advice.»
Prince Leo thought he was the last person in the world who could give such advice and looked helplessly at Galh.
«What makes you hurry?» Prince Rau asked politely.
«We fear that all the good brides will be taken as children...» the nephew stammered.
«Well, we do...Were afraid that when our son reaches adulthood there won’t be a worthy match for him,» his wife added.
Leo and Galh looked at each other.
«Are you only considering brides?»
«М?» The nephew didn’t understand the question.
«Be gentle,» Galh insisted with a meek smile.
«Ahem,» Leo cleared his throat. «I realized I didn’t like girls at thirteen...»
The young parents suddenly erupted.
«No, no, not necessarily that your son will be like us,» laughed Galh, «but by deciding for him, aren’t you rushing things?»
«Yes, who knows how the world will change,» Leo added.
«After all, you must have faith in him. He will grow up to be a good young man and he will meet his match.»
The walls inside were upholstered in red silk. The light wood floors were complemented by red carpets. Scarlet bedspreads and pillows were piled on a wide four-poster bed.
The abundance of red made one feel dizzy.
Galh began to throw off his clothes as soon as he crossed the threshold.
«Really, I was good,» he glanced around, stepping over his clothes.
«My husband is the wisest man alive,» Leo confirmed, shoving the pile of clothes out of his way.
«Would you like to take a bath together,» Galh asked slyly.
«Of course, but I can’t promise you’ll be clean afterwards,» Leo smiled, squinting his beautiful eyes.
«It’s not such a big deal,» Galh replied, dipping into a huge vat in the floor.
The makeshift tub was in the corner of the room, next to the panoramic windows, behind which a scarlet sea sunset was blazing.
Leo hugged him from behind and rested his head on his shoulder.
«M, are you inside yet?» Galh reacted calmly, accustomed to such surprises.
«Uh-huh, it really bothers me when I’m outside,» Leo licked and bit his ear.
«Don’t move, look at that beautiful sunset,» Galh admired.
«I am looking.»
Leo’s hands unceremoniously scoured the slender body hidden by the milky water with flower petals. He unmistakably found and teased the sensitive spots and didn’t stop licking the scarlet ears.
Galh frowned and bit his lip. His breathing was getting out of control. An inexplicable shiver rose up his body.
The unmoving tumescent feeling inside was driving him insane.
He couldn’t stand it any longer. Closing his eyes he leaned his head back on Leo's shoulder and his neck stretched seductively and two horny berries appeared above the surface of the water.
«Ahhh, growled Galh, there will be many more sunsets!»
«I second that!» Leo responded by devouring his little mouth and entwining her whole body with her lover.
Splashes of water in the light of the passing day to the accompaniment of languid sighs and pitying moans once again confirmed that in life one must always choose the truly important.
Admiring the sleeping face of his beautiful husband, Leo was happier than he had ever been in his life. Not even his dream come true had brought him as much peace and joy as this flighty, unruly young man beside him.
Only a fool like him could so stubbornly run away from love, even though he longed for it more than anything else in the world. Fortunately, his love didn’t give up...
