He sniffled. “...” he said nothing and looked away. “Why don’t you help me draw something Dream? I’m a little brain dead.” I said letting go of him and going through my bag. “R-really?” he said. “Of course! I don’t like seeing you sad. It’s gonna make me sad. Ah-ha! Here it is!” I said pulling out my sketchbook. I placed it on the desk in front of me and opened it to a blank page. “So, human, creature, or sans?” I asked. “Sans!” Dream said. “Okay okay…female or male?” I asked. “...male!” Dream said. I nodded. He giggled. “Okay, what should their pose be?” I asked. “Hmm…maybe standing and waving to us?” Dream suggested. I drew the best base I could muster waving. “What accessories should they have, if any?” maybe a sailor’s hat or something?” Dream guessed. “Clothes?” We worked on the character for the remainder of the class. We ended up naming him Palette. “This kind of looks like a mixture of us!” I remarked looking at the drawing. “Yes! That was the plan!” Dream giggled. I smiled. I was happy that Dream didn’t seem too worried anymore. Hopefully, he forgot. I looked at the clock. “It’s almost time to go!” I said. It was finally the end of the day. I almost forgot I had detention. Dream looked at the clock. “Ink, can you please just skip detention? Ask them to just give you more work…” Dream mumbled, grabbing my arm as I stood up. “Buddy. You’re thinking about it too much! If they try to do something to me I can whip out good old Broomie! Or I’ll just throw up on them!” I said, trying my best to reassure him. He giggled a bit which I took as a good sign. “Okay Ink…” he said. I gathered my stuff and headed out the door. Detention I go.
