That simple doubt triggered the balance within her and now both darkness and divinity battle each other to try and overtake her. However, within a drop of a hat, the darkness won her over. She went forth and fed the darkness further, eventually overpowering her - destroying Tir Na Nog making it fall into the coldest of winters.
"Destroy the balance."
The voice of darkness continued to poison her mind. The darkness in which she used to keep in check.
"They shouldn't have forgotten the House of Grindelwald and its last primordial." The maiden unconsciously killed both Oak and Holly, disrupting the balance which yielded to an unpredictable season the world experience now. This led to wisps of light scattering all over the mundane realm; the wisps who were once part of her divinity.
Now all she has is the darkness within her.
As soon as the maiden returned to her senses, it was already too late. A lot of lives have already lost. But she never felt anything as the numbing cold also seemed to freeze her emotions.
Lugh, the deity that oversees justice appeared in the devastated realm of Tir Na Nog; cursing the primordial.
"For the loyalty you have over the past, I sealed the darkness within you. Once the cup has been broken it cannot be returned to its previous state. Just like that, every seal has its limits and darkness will soon knock again on your door."
He looked at the maiden and studied her for a bit before continuing to speak. "Thus, as my leniency towards your deeds, I will place you in a curse instead of an eternal death. A curse that will eat your divinity if the seal of darkness were to be removed and continues to take over you."
"Instead, once you've fallen you can never return and the House of Grindelwald will end with you."
Lugh looked at the maiden who never spoke nor felt remorse of what she did. He still has this lingering hope that the maiden can still be saved as the members of Grindelwald had always been a good fae clan. The maiden who lost the wisps of light from her winter lamp felt empty. She thought that she will be punished but she was cut off when Lugh spoke about the matter.
"I know you are thinking of being punished." Lugh let out a faint smile at her. He then thought that he was indeed right about this fae.
"Primordial of the House of Grindelwald. As the one who fated with winter, you are the only one who can return those wisps." The deity pointed at the last remaining wisp that never left her and was still inside the lamp. "It seems that single remaining wisp still acknowledges you as their bearer. A fragment of your divinity."
The maiden looked at the single wisp clinging to her, letting her know that it had never given her up. Lugh continued to cast the curse as a part of his judgement. Multiple magic circles appeared and surrounded her.
"As soon as you leave this realm, you will be merging with your fox spirit form, losing your divinity as a primordial if you keep feeding the darkness within you. From this day forward, Tir Na Nog will never let anyone out of this realm aside from you. As to avoid a repeat of this mistake, anyone who dares to leave will learn about the passing of time as soon as they set foot outside the walls. You will be banished from the realm. Your task now is to find the wisps of light and return the winter lamp to its previous state." The deity looked at her once more but never seen any changes on the maiden's face. As he flicked his hand, he banished the maiden outside the realm; remaining only his voice and the forest of lush trees without the traces of Tir Na Nog where it once stood.
"If you want to return to Tir Na Nog, find all the wisps of light that you lost. Only you can do it. Never betray the last flicker of hope I had for you, Daughter of the House Grindewald, the Last of Her Line, Primordial of Ice Fae, Keeping of the Winter Lamp, Wisps of Light. Aerys Grindelwald."
Aerys Grindelwald, Primordial of Ice Fae from House Grindelwald of the magical world Tir na Nog, used to overseer winter. She was cursed due to certain circumstances. Now, she gained feet... feet as fast as the foxes in the wild, to seek fragments. Wisps of light that will cure her curse.
Written in collaboration of our wisps, each chapter will now be updated with the lore they create!
