Going to Spain for her summer vacation was the best idea she had ever had. Not bringing her friend with her was another plus.
All she wanted to do was relax on the beach with a good book and a delicious cocktail. That was not what happened.
From the moment she laid down on her towel, she could feel someone watching her with appreciation. She could tell it wasn't one of those creepy stares. With time she learned to tell the difference. The guy's eyes roamed along the length of her body, and she could feel the warmth from his fiery stare.
Her weakness for handsome Spaniards wasn't making the situation any better. She adored them and has had a soft spot for them since she could remember.
So, instead of staying there, in danger of falling under the irresistible Spaniard's spell, she decided to leave.
It was early in the morning, and they were all alone on the beautiful beach. What could be more romantic? That was precisely why she needed to make a quick exit. She wasn't looking for a summer fling.
Even the distance between them didn't seem enough to stop her from being overwhelmed with warm feelings that threatened to envelop her completely.
In a hurry, she started buttoning up her shirt with shaking hands. Never before had it been such a challenge to do that simple actions as it was then. She lacked the necessary control, so she did the best she could, wanting nothing more than to escape.
What first alerted her that she should have been faster was the scent. The deep earthy smell that oozed masculinity was mixed with the scent of the ocean. It made her think of power, desire, and lust. Even before she raised her eyes from her badly buttoned-up shirt, she knew what she would see.
A strong bare chest glistened in the sun.
Did the water drops have to cling to his perfectly tanned skin, making it even more appealing? Couldn't that small water drop choose to take a different path and not the one that led down his perfectly chiseled chest? Why does he have to look like a Greek God who deemed a mortal worthy of his presence?
Even though she couldn't see his face, she could feel that he was smiling. And what a smile that was. It was a smile that dreams are made of. One of those smiles that can brighten up your day even after a terrible storm.
Figuring out where to look, to keep the last shreds of her reason, was an impossibility. Her futile attempt to look him in the eyes ended in failure.
What it accomplished was making her stomach tremble with even greater intensity.
His eyes were perfect. The deep ocean blue made them simply irresistible.
How could a man have such immense power over a woman's body without even touching it?
Afraid of drowning in the depth of his eyes for an eternity, she tried to look somewhere else, anywhere else.
Looking at his full moist lips only made her want him even more. She started blushing all over while passion burned through her whole being, consuming her in a flame that she couldn't extinguish.
"I think we have waited long enough. I need you," a deep seductive voice said as he started slowly approaching her.
She crossed her arms in front of her body in a vain attempt to defend herself from the onslaught of emotions swirling inside her. A never-ending storm. There she was, ready to give everything she had to a complete stranger.
She barely knew him. Yet, she wanted to feel those strong, calloused hands on every inch of her body. The need to taste his alluring lips was so great that she felt like her life depended on it. He was the type of man that had to be tasted, who had to be devoured.
As lust won over, she lowered her arms. Seconds later, his warm hands were fastened firmly around her hips, pulling her closer. He pulled her so close that she could feel all of him. All his magnificent glory.
The kiss they shared was the kind of passionate kiss that you never forget. It was full of intensity and burning desire. It was an all-consuming kiss that made her head spin. Her awakened senses could barely cope with the intensity of the moment.
The next thing she knew he was ripping off her shirt, shiny green buttons flying in all directions. She didn't even notice in the heat of the moment. Even if she had noticed, she wouldn't have cared. All she wanted was to be as close to him, as close as two human beings could be. She needed more. More kisses. More touches.
Moments later, they were thoroughly lost in each other. Lost in enjoying exploring each other's bodies. Time didn't matter. All that mattered was satisfying their hunger.
And they did so as the waves crashed louder and louder, drowning out the sounds of pleasure that two people in the throes of passion made.
At the end of the day, the only trace of the fire that burned on that beach was one shiny button glistening in the sun. A silent witness of the unstoppable power of desire.
