Katrine's POV
----
“You should smile more.” A gentle voice commented from behind the curly white haired girl as she sat in a chair with a book in her hand. Katrine’s body went still, her hands tightened on her book but did not turn around to face the owner of the voice.
“No.” Katrine calmly dismissed the suggestion, careful not to let any of her true emotions slip into the one word response. She was not giving it the satisfaction of detecting her hatred for it’s entire existence.
“Why not? Afraid your fanclub will gain more members?” The voice teased and Katrine could hear the smile in it’s voice. The voice that came from a body that doesn’t belong to it.
“You know I don’t care about my…“fanclub”... as you call it.” Katrine said in disgust with a frown. “And, you know I don’t like to listen to your “suggestions”.”
“I’m just trying to be a good little brother to his big sister. I mean no harm.” The voice sounded hurt and it placed a hand on her shoulder. She could feel the skin on her shoulder under her uniform itch at the weight of it’s touch and slammed her book closed shut.
“Do. Not. Call. Me. Your. Sister.” She spat out, unable to continue her calm facade. Katrine wasn’t fooled by it’s act at all and was revolted that it had the nerve to call her its sister while touching her.
She stood up, tearing the hand off her shoulder and finally facing the owner of the voice well, the thing that was using the voice of the body. “You will never be my little brother, I’ll never be your big sister, and don’t you ever touch me again!”
The library in which they stood was empty so no one was able to witness the usual stone-faced student council president snap out in anger. Katrina's face was contorted into anger, she was panting with clenching her hand into a fist and tightening her grip on her book. Her blue-yellow eyes blazing at the thing in front of her.
“Now, now Katrine, I was just joking, there is no need for you to get so upset. I mean, I didn’t even do anything to you and here you are overreacting over a harmless conversation.” The thing stared back at her with the same blue-yellow eyes but it didn’t have a look of fear at her outburst. Not a look of shock, nor a look of hurt.
No, it had a look of amusement on its face, it even smiled up at her and that is when Katrine realized she did it again. She straightened herself and hid the anger on her face with a stoic mask.
“I’m leaving, I’m no longer in the mood for reading. I’m sure I have satisfied you enough, so don’t you dare go bothering anyone else.” With that statement Katrine left the library with her book in hand and felt it staring at her silently as she left. Katrine kept walking until there was enough distance between her and the library before stopping in the empty hallway. She dug her nails inside the soft skin of her hand until blood trickled down and coated her brown fingers in the red substance.
Katrine took a few deep breaths in and out trying to ease her anger and disappointment for giving it exactly what it wanted from her. She tries her best to remain calm whenever it messes with her but every single time she ends up giving in to her hatred for it. It always knew what button to push to get a reaction out of her and deep down she knew that it was pointless to fight against it. It didn’t matter who the person was or whether that person liked it or not. It always got what it wanted out of people.
However, that wasn’t going to stop Katrine from protecting her students. She may have failed to protect some of her students last year, but this year she was going to be different. Katrine was going to do everything in her power as student council president to keep her remaining students safe. She was not going to let it push her around and do whatever it wanted in her school. Katrine vowed to herself before unclenching her bloody hand and continued walking in the empty hallway.
“Not on my watch.”
