As she was done hanging the herbs, she got a phone call on her comm wrist. A device for her and Wren to communicate with in long distances. She tapped it to answer the call. "Hey Wren! What's up? Are you at Hattie's place yet?"

“Yeah. I’m there…” She trailed off.

Lydia rose a brow. "What's wrong? What did she do now?"

“N-nothing! It’s just… are you ok? Snatcher didn’t… do anything..?” She asked worriedly. 

"..."

Lydia didn't want to let her cousin know that she signed a deal with him just yet. Instead she dodged the question with information.

"No, he didn't. We… found something to do for a while… so if tomorrow, if Hattie drops by to annoy him, just tell her that we'll be gone for the majority of the day. By the way, I still have that Timepiece. Before we leave tomorrow, I'll let you know when we leave and I'll set the piece on the table for her. Okay?" 

“O-ok… do I wanna ask what you're leaving for..?”

"...."

She avoided eye contact for a split second.

"... He's… just showing me a different part of this world where it's not part of the game. We're… going on a hunt for primitive animals. For fun! I'll be sure to save some rabbit and deer meat for the family. I gotta go now. It's late. Tuck the kid in bed with some warm milk. It'll help."

“Oh~? So he’s not scary, he’s cute?” Wren teased.

Lydia gave her a frustrated and flustered look. "I-I didn't say ANYTHING about being "cute" just now! And puh-lease!!! He might be intimidating for some, but he's got nothing on me. You know that!" Her blush prevalent on her cheeks. "Don't you go all high and mighty on me! I know a few things that'll take you down a peg or two!" She threatened with a determined grin.

Before Wren could apologize, Snatcher came in. “Oh Lydia~”

"Gotta go. Don't forget the milk." She hung up. And turned around to him already floating behind her.

She raised a curious brow. "Yeah…?"

“Was just curious who you were talking to.” He replied not so innocently. 

She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. 'How much of the conversation did he hear….?' "It was just my cousin… the other red head you found. She took Hattie back to her place… she was just calling to see how I was… Are you okay…? Your smug jack-o'-lantern face is more…. Cocky than usual…" 

“Aw, you do care. I’m fine, thank you.” He replied. 

She rolled her eyes. "Alright then… I just finished hanging the herbs. Do you need anything?"

“... Yes actually. I was wondering if you were an artist?” He smiled deviously at her. 

She narrowed her eyes at him. "I am to a respect… depends on the subject… why…?" 

His smile widened. “Glad you asked. It is because you are good at drawing me in~.”

You can literally see the dots connecting to a lightbulb over her head. And she couldn't decide whether to blush or laugh. So her body went with the involuntary response. 

She blushed and somehow made a silent whining noise that was barely audible.

“Aw~ What’s the matter?” He picked up her chin so he could look into her eyes. “Snatcher got your tongue?”

She blushed harder and wanted to laugh and squeal at the same time. Her previous lifes' childhood crush was flirting with her? He chuckled huskily and decided to throw a few more out there to see how far she'll break.

“Your eyes are like the ocean… I could swim in them all day~” He said in a deep and smooth voice.

She tried to move her eye contact from his glowing orbs, slight sweat dripping from the side of her face.

"S-something… got you like this or something…?"

“Maybe~ Maybe not~” He replied, cupping her face, a claw tenderly stroking her cheek. “When I look in your eyes, I see a very kind soul, you know.” That was no lie either.  

The red had reached her ears and was invading the entirety of her head and going down her neck.

“Oh Lydia~ I never believed in love at first sight… but then I saw you..”

Her eyes had anime swirls of flusteredness and she let out a louder squeal. It was still quiet but to his ears it might as well have been a siren.

He chuckled. This was so freaking adorable and funny. "I'm no photographer, but I can picture us together~ Lydia~"

She had no visible reaction. It was more like silent and mental screaming/breakdown.

Basically Lydia exe. Has stopped working. Please restart or reset the system.

Snatcher was trying to hold it together but at the same time, he enjoyed her reactions.

He snickered quietly. “Oh Lydia~ If you were a song, you’d be the best track on the album~” He couldn’t help wondering how good a dancer she was though. Perhaps… he could test it out?

She started to fidget in place while looking like a tomato with red hair. He smirked and snapped his claws. All of a sudden they were in a totally different place. It was like the first encounter between Hattie and Snatcher but it was different. There were creepy ghosts and tree silhouettes with little lights all around. And all around her was a very large circle of lit and half melted candles. It honestly looked like a ritual of some sorts. 

"S-Snatcher…?" But before she could say anything, a silhouette of a man with beautiful and sharp looking eyes peered from the shadows. Suddenly, a spotlight shone on the figure…
