It's been over a week and the kingdom had overheard the news that Dream was sick. But nothing more than that since the Sanses didn't want to disclose any more information. Meanwhile in a quaint shop…

'Hmmm… I suppose I should put that plan of mine to action.' 

Raven then began to calculously organize her thoughts. 

By that night she sent forged information that Dream had passed away due to poisoning. And sent the information via one of her messenger crows. But then she sent another crow with information on the Mafia, their intentions, whereabouts, and what they plan to do with the kingdom. And that they, Raven, was to simply kill him. Not make him sick. The parchment was signed with her alias. The Death Bringer. Attached to the message was the small vial of clear thick liquid labeled, "Antidote" and a smaller message that said, "Hope to do business with you soon." And sent the crow to the castle.

Nightmare was pacing at the foot of his brother's bed. There was no denying his worry. The Guardian of negativity had come to love his brother again. He wasn't entirely sure if he ever truly stopped loving him. It was his little brother after all. Of course the boys had found nothing, he'd been irrational thinking that they would. He was simply shocked and scared to lose Dream. He was also pissed obviously, but that's beside the point. He looked over at Dream, he looked uncomfortable and feverish. He hadn't been sleeping all that well, throwing up at all hours of the night and in the day. He, Blue, and Ink have been taking turns watching over Dream. Nightmare's tentacle moved, opening the door before the blue idiot could burst in. "silence. he's finally fallen asleep." Blue tried to be quieter, but he couldn't contain his excitement and instead handed Nightmare the letter and vial, bouncing in place. 

Nightmare stopped his pacing, reading over the letters' contents. "look into this death bringer." He then went to Dream's side with the antidote. He honestly was afraid that it would make him worse, but if there was the smallest chance it would work.. "dream, brother, wake up." He rarely called Dream his brother, but that's how worried he was. Dream stirred weakly. "w-where..? who..?" 

"hush dream, take this." He opened the vial and helped Dream drink the thick liquid. It made him wonder if skeletons could choke so he had him drink water right after. "there we go, go back to sleep if you can. i'm sorry for waking you." Dream mumbled and closed his sockets.

Nightmare, Ink, and Blue waited anxiously for any improvement. They were rewarded a few hours later when Dream's fever started to go down. He seemed to be resting much easier as well. Blue had gone to Dust to ask if he could look into this "Death Bringer" character while he stayed with Dream. Dust really didn't have anything better to do so he agreed and went to Horror and Killer for help. Nightmare was glad someone was doing it at least. He was even more happy that Dream would be ok. Which reminded him.. he looked at the small letter he'd kept on him. The "Hope to do business with you soon." Letter. What sort of business did they mean? More poisonings? Or did they mean that mafia organization? His limbs twitched erratically at the thought of such people sneaking around under their noses. Perhaps business with them would be needed.. "boss." Killer had poked his head in. "could we talk out here?" Nightmare sighed, looked at his brother, and followed Killer out. 

Horror and Dust were waiting for them. "what have you found?" 

"not much boss." Dust admitted. 

"only that they are an assassin on dream's side. they only go after baddies according to what we have found." Horror replied. Assassin's on Dream's side? That was interesting. "name is unknown, age is unknown, gender is unknown, birthday-"

"i get it dust, they are a mystery." Nightmare huffed. An assassin that goes after bad people.. so they wanted him to hire them to go after the mafia?
