Must have upped security since the incident last week.' Sunny thought to herself. 'This is gonna be tricky... oh well...' she silently through a smoke bomb to the unsuspecting and now panicking guards. She ran in the smoke and knocked them all out while missing any punches or swipes of blades from them. After that was done, she followed Meredith's advice to the T. And once she got up to the corner of the hallway where the door to the room was, she took a small rock and threw it down the opposite hallway. Successfully getting the guards attention for a minute. She snuck up behind him and knocked him out and carried him inside the room.

Once she put him on the floor, she turned to face, that in the middle of the room, was a pedestal with a treasure chest. 'That must be where it's at. But I can't help this feeling....'

She took out a can of a special spray and spritzed it around the area. There were trigger lasers everywhere! She was lucky she didn't set one off already. She pressed her comm and quietly whispered to Meredith.

"You see what I'm seeing?"

"I'm way ahead of you, just give me a couple more..." She trailed off as she focused on getting the lasers off. "Stop being stubborn you son of a- there! Did that work?"

The lasers were immediately turned off. Sunny smiled behind her mask and gave a small thumbs up. She then walked up to the chest and picked the lock on it. Once she opened it she saw the most beautiful book she ever saw. It had golden weaved covers with tiny multicolored jewels on it and with big cursive letters it said, "The Book of AUs". She could FEEL the power radiating from it. She slowly picked it up carefully. And out of curiosity, she peeked inside. Voices upon voices started to blare through her head. Telling her things through multiple voices. She was mesmerized.

She didn't know how long she'd been standing there. But it was enough that Meredith was shouting at her through the comms. Something about some guards? Shit.

"GET YOU'RE CLOAKED ASS OUT OF THERE NOW, THE GUARDS ARE COMING!!!" Meredith had been trying to warn her for 15 minutes, but she'd been off in lala land. What was in that book?

But before she could make it out of the room, the confused and now angry guards were now drawing their weapons. While another guard yelled out, "ALERT THE SANSES!!! HIS MAJESTY AS WELL!!! GO!!!" The one guard managed to get out before he and the others were taken out by Sunny. Unfortunately for her, the other guard was gone. "Great..."

'I gotta get going!' and she made a mad dash down the hall.

Meanwhile....

"SOMEONE'S GOT THE BOOK OF AUS!" The remaining guard burst into Dream's room, much to Nightmare's annoyance. That book was of high importance though. "dispatch the boys, i'll be there soon." The guard went to get the Murder Time Trio and Error.

"brother..? what's going on..?" Dream was still a bit out of it and weak, but at least he was getting better.

"no need to concern yourself, dream. i'll handle it." Nightmare sighed before turning to Ink and Blue. "sta-"

"STAY WITH DREAM, WE GOT IT!"

Nightmare glared at Blue, but left to handle the matter.

Error, having just gotten back from the Anti- Void, was immediately bombarded with an annoying guard. "sh-sh-u-u-u-t u-p!" He snapped. The guard did. "no-w, s-sl-lo.ow-er pl-lea-ease."

"Uh.. someone is making off with The Book of AUs.."

"w-hy di-idn-t y-you say-y s-so so-oner!" Grumbling, he left the poor stammering guard to find this culprit. It didn't take him too long. "f-fou-nd you!" He summoned his strings to entangle them in, and launched them in them direction. With any luck, he'd have them before Nightmare had to step in.

Sunny was surprised to see the strings coming for her and only had a second to act. She quickly slid, jumped, and did a full bodied spiral and expertly landed on her feet.

It took him a second for him to process that they'd gotten through that, and a second longer to process how. He had to admit, he was a little impressed, but he wasn't going to let them go that easy, launching more strings at and around them, creating something of a blue laser grid down the hall they were in. One false move and they'd be caught.

'Try and get through that.' He thought with a smirk.

They tilted their head mockingly and threw out multiple smoke pellets towards him. Enveloping the both of them in smoke. And once it cleared, with some coughing fits from Error, they were gone. But he heard them run down the steps behind them.

"Wh-at the!" Now he was hella impressed, why go through if you can pull stunts like the one they just did? He gave chase, enjoying this new play thing. He liked a challenge. Especially since not many people could give him one anymore.

Soon the others showed up and gave a look to Error as to say, "What happened?"

He was grinning like a maniac. "a challenger." Was all he said before going after them. "h-ere pe-est, i-m-m no-tt- don-e pla-y-yin-g wi-th you y-y-et." He called, trying to figure out where they went next.

She heard him and that only made her run faster. 'Shitshitshitshitshitshit-----' she mentally cursed.

He heard the footsteps coming from his right. "th-ere y-ou ar-e!" The chase was on again as he tried to cut her off with more strings. The others gave chase as well, confused and a tad nervous as to Error's mood.

She noticed the others behind him then directed her attention to the strings. She scanned them and within a minute, she found a hole big enough for her to fit through. But she had to take into account that she was on stairs and that the hole was high. And that the next landing was a good feet away. In a split second, without much thought, mostly just on instinct, she ran to one wall, jumped and used her footing to boost herself up the next wall. She then boosted herself again and spiral dived through the hole. And as if time slowed down she flipped herself and gently landed on the bottom staircase. She turned to them and gave them a mock bow and two finger salute and then ran outside.

"holy fucking shit." Dust gaped.

"now i understand..." Killer agreed.

"There goes dinner.." Horror grumbled.

Error was about to give chase yet again, but then he sensed Nightmare, and he wasn't in the best of moods. Yeah.. Nightmare could deal with the rest because they weren't going near him while he was in a remotely bad mood. The past had them scarred, even if he was different now.

Sunny had to choose a different route. She didn't want to lead any of them to Meredith.

"Meredith! You're gonna have to go home and wait for me. I promise you I'll be there when I can!" She whispered-yelled in her earpiece.

"What?! I can't leave you!" Meredith snapped back. She was hella worried, having watched the chase. She knew why, but didn't mean she had to like it. "You better come back or I'm gonna kick your ass." She muttered in a quieter tone.

Sunny chuckled at her brash threat. "Just get out of here before they find the van!" Sunny whispered.

She whined like a child, complying to her demand. "Fine. Come. Back." Was her last warning before the comms went staticy due to distance.

"lux furem."

Guess who found her and he wasn't happy.

Sunny turned around abruptly and saw Nightmare standing almost right behind her. She was surprised and flipped herself back a few feet to keep some distance and went into a semi fighting stance.

He was already in his own battle stance. "i'll be taking my property back now." His tentacles lashed out for the book.

She dodged his attacks easily and signed, "Tentacles aye~? Kinky~~~"

Even though he couldn't see, he could visibly feel them wink.

He blushed. "flirting? that's a low blow." He teleported to get behind her and attempt to snatch the book.

She had sensed his negativity shift to right behind her and jumped out of the way and climbed in the tree.

"Says the one blushing cyan blue~"

He growled, mostly to himself for being flustered so easily, and started up the tree himself. Teleporting up there was dangerous.

'Hmmm, maybe I should get down before it... too late.' Sunny grimaced as she heard the loud cracking sound from the tree.

Without thinking she leapt for Nightmare and tumbled safely down with him with her on top and in a kabedon style. They just stayed there for a few seconds. But even though it was just a few seconds, he could've sworn he saw their unique blue eyes before they leapt off from him and took off further into the woods without looking back.

Not that he was following. He was blushing hard and slightly entranced by those pretty blue eyes.. Until he realized they were gone.. With the book. "damn it.." Now he was gonna have to track it down. That kinda power in the wrong hands spelled disaster. He got up and pinpointed her location, via emotions, teleporting as close as he could without getting into... that position... again. "don't think i've given up yet!"

She ran as fast as she could till she came to a dead end. A peak of a cliff and at the bottom, more forests. She looked back and saw him behind her. She was now weighing her options.

"nowhere to run -" he was cut off when they held their arms up and then fell off backward from the cliff and disappeared in the sea of trees. "wait-" He called a little too late as he rushed to the edge. But they were gone. He sighed deeply and started to turn, only for something to catch his eye. He caught it in his hand. "a... flier?" He read it over curiously.

It's for Sunny Side Up Diner? He'd heard things about the place. Apparently they served great cuisine. "perhaps i could check it out.. and get something for dream." Not to mention see what they might know about Lux Furem.
