She must've jumped two feet in the air because of that. She looked around till she found the bitty that she was looking for, trying to and failing to hide behind the fallen trash bin. He was about to make a break for it, that was until she slowly bent down and slowly offered her hand.

"Hey little guy. I know that you're trying to look for your brother(?) but if you're going to look for him by yourself it's going to take a lot out of you. I know the person that bought him. If you come with me, then you can be with him more often. Will you be my partner?" She offered with a bright smile. To Nightmare, she was suspicious but pretty. But still suspicious. He had his own questions.

"where is dream? how do i know i can trust you? why should i trust you?" That was only three of many questions he had. He tried to sound as threatening as possible since he didn't trust any human.

Sunny tried hard not to laugh at his "tough guy" act with his high mousy voice. But she answered him nonetheless.

"Dream is with his new owner who is my childhood friend. We live close to each other. And as far as trust goes, you don't have to trust me as much as you can trust in Dream. And if you want, I can call her and she can let Dream talk to you?" She offered.

"do that. then we'll see about a "partnership"." He demanded. His tentacles twitched, the only sign that could be seen of his true emotions of fear and worry for his brother.

Sunny smiled gently and brought out her phone and called Raven. "Hey Ray, you know that bitty we lost? Yeah... I found him and he kinda demands to talk to Dream. Can you let him on?"

"Oh, yeah, he's been asking about Nightmare. Here. Dream it's your brother and my friend. Wanna talk?" There was some shuffling on the other end.

"nightmare?!" Dream asked hopefully.

Sunny had the phone on speaker for Nightmare to hear and she held the device next to him so he could speak into it.

Any bit of tough guy in him vanished, replaced with worry. "dream! are you ok? did it hurt you?!" His tentacles wrapped around the phone, hands pressed on the screen.

"i'm fine! are you ok? you sound scared." Dream commented in his own worry. He mirrored Nightmare as far as his position on the phone went.

"i'm ok now, i was scared for you, dummy!"

"i'm sorry, night. i swear i'm ok. ms. raven is very nice."

"is she now?" Nightmare glanced at the human. "that's good, but if she hurts you.."

"nightmare, no beating up humans!" Dream scolded.

"fine.." Nightmare sighed.

Nightmare groaned. "do i have too?"

Dream giggled. "yes. hey, i got to go now."

"what?! why!?"

"i'll see you tomorrow!"

"dream, don't you dare hang up-" And he was met with tonedial. "dammit!"

Sunny slightly giggled at his reaction. She took her phone and put it in her bag. She noticed that he was starting to look a little feverish. And without thinking, picked him up and held him to her chest to keep warm as she said a water repellent spell to keep the rain off them. And started towards the almost closing Bitty shop.

"take me to dream.. i need my brother.. i need dream.." Nightmare whimpered.

She coaxed him to sleep like a tired kid. "Shh, shh, you'll see him tomorrow. Right now, we need to get your essentials and some medicine."

She entered the shop and saw a much more relaxed goat couple seeing as how they were starting to close.

Toriel noticed Sunny and offered her a smile. "Why hello dear! Weren't you here with your friend a few minutes ago? Did you forget something?"

"Uh, no. I found the bitty's brother and was wondering if you could help me with getting the essentials. Also, I heard that you do quick and basic check ups... can you look at him for me and see if he has a high fever?"

Toriel looked worried. "Oh yes child! I'll look at him and see what I can do. Asgore! Help this last customer. I have to treat a small one." Asgore nodded and asked what selections I would like for the bitty.

After about fifteen to twenty minutes later, everything was paid for and now it was just a waiting game for Toriel to come out with Nightmare.

There were shouts and curses and various objects being heard slung around the room. But Toriel came out with a swaddled Nightmare in a large blanket.

"I heard there was a commotion in the back. Is everything okay?" Sunny asked worriedly. Toriel looked a bit miffed and a bit rough looking. 'Like she's been through a battlefield...' Sunny wondered with a sweatdrop as Toriel tiredly smiled at her and put him in a magic carrier.

"He's fine dear. He has a slight cold. But nothing that some medicine and healing magic couldn't help. Although you might have to give him this medicine for a few days. Several times throughout the day." She hands her the required medicine in with the rest of the supplies. "There was a bit of a tussle because he had to get a shot. But for this type of bitty, I shouldn't be surprised. You take care now dear. And good luck."

Sunny walked out of the shop. It was now a slight drizzle but she didn't want to take any chances and made sure the water repellent spell was still up.

"Okay Nightmare. We're heading to my apartment. Let's try to get along now okay? Please?" She asked in a hopeful tone.

"..."

He thought about it, still mad about the shot. Then yet, he could see Dream if he stuck around, and she did take care of him.. Even if it also meant a damn shot. "how about i sleep on it, and after i see dream tomorrow, i'll let you know if we can be partners, deal?"

Sunny smiled brightly. "Sure thing! Aaaannnnndddd... we're here!" She opened the apartment door to a homey living room. There was a decent sized kitchen on the right. And to the left was a couch, a small table, and a large TV. She then proceeded to go into the back hallway where there was a small laundry room, a bathroom, her room and a guest bedroom.

She then placed the carrier on her desk table and opened the door for Nightmare.

Nightmare had been looking around, not entirely paying attention to what was happening around him. So he was a bit startled when the carrier was suddenly open. He walked out slowly.

"this is yours..?"

"Well, if you agree to be my partner, then it'll be ours until I get a stable job, a roommate, and enough income to get a bigger house! What do you think?!"

His eye went wide. "b-bigger?! this isn't big enough?" To him it was huge! Then yet, he was tiny. For now. "this place is.. huge! and neat. and is that bedroom for this other person, i don't really get along with others if you can't tell.." he grumbled.

Sunny smiled apologetically. "Yeah sorry about that. If it helps. I'm going to hold interviews to see who'd fit. I mean, they can even have a bitty or borrower if it helps? You know, to keep you company?"

"a pet? no thanks." He crossed his arms, looking away. The ones that weren't wild were horrible company.

"Well, we can't be picky. This is a two person apartment. Which requires two different incomes. So, for now, we have to make do. Tomorrow we're going to hold the interviews with Raven. Despite her downer demeanor, she's a good judge of character." Sunny chirped as she got her pajamas from her drawers. "Mind turning around?" She slightly teased as she gestured to herself.

He full on dived back into his carrier, not wanting to see. Well, maybe a little, she was cute- no! He would not see!

Sunny giggled at his reaction. While she undressed they both didn't know that she was being reflected in the mirror, which Nightmare accidentally turned to as she was now in her black and blue lacy lingerie.

He froze like a deer in headlights and stared as he tried to process the sight of a mostly naked woman.... HOLY SHIT HE WAS STARING AT A MOSTLY NAKED WOMAN- he covered his eye, turning bright cyan.

She soon changed into her risque dark blue silk pajamas that Raven got her because she thought she could use a little beauty and comfort in her routine. And of course possibly freak out any future boyfriends.

"u-uh.. you done..?" He didn't want to look again. (Yes he did.)

"Yep!" Sunny said oblivious of the fact that he accidentally peeked.

He crawled out, uncovering his eye before he did so, only to see what she was wearing. He squeaked, whipped back around and dove back in. He was ready for this night to end.
