Persephone gave a few claps, “Alright well come down when you need that corpse of yours fixed. I saw her the other day here, she dragged a man along, it was amusing to say the least.”
Ena chuckled just to lighten the mood, “Well, glad you enjoyed it. I'll be taking my leave?”
Persephone waved at her, “You should come to dinner one day. It's not like it would affect you the same way it would a mortal. Your corpse will not be compelled to stay… I'd love for you to tell me about my cooking. Hades is no help because he just thinks everythings good.”
“I didn't know you cooked.” Ena said, beginning to open the portal.
Persephone was walking away by now with a grin on her face, “Well I don't usually do it. But I'd do it if you agreed to come.”
“I'm flattered by your generosity.” The portal was wide open leading back to the house, Altivo looked at it and his tail began to wag, “I’ll think about it.”
“Well, keep your eyes wide open in case someone else pays you a visit.” Persephone said in a warning tone. Continuing to walk away from her sight, “It was nice talking with you.” she waved without turning to look at Ena, disappearing from view.
Ena walked through the portal and closed it. Seeing Altivo come and greet, he seemed much happier then when he felt the gaze of Hera. He was wagging his tail while walking behind her, throwing himself on the floor and whining.
Sighing, Ena knelt down and gave him some scratches, “Don't feel anyones gaze?”
He didn't answer, sticking his tongue out. Ena stopped getting back up while Altivo rolled over, for a brief moment his appearance changed. Three heads in place of one and his usual wagging tail slithered across the floor as it turned back into the usual appearance.
She stepped back, her eyes narrowing and glaring down at him, “Don’t cause trouble. I'll be back later.”
He whined accustomed to having her stay with him all day. Yet for two days in a row now he'd been left in the house on his own. Whining and curling up on the floor as he huffed and turned his back on her, yet the appearance that had been so clear a brief moment was nowhere in sight.
She sighed recalling what Altivo really looked like without having a spell casted on him. Having him look like a dog was a lot more effort than it was worth most of the time. But him being able to detect other beings from far away was one of his few advantages in the human world. She didn't need him for much else, all things considered.
Unnerved after having seen his old form for a second, she thought about Enaya. Perhaps she was behind it, she shook her head, and reminded herself this wasn't something the corpse would do without prior mentioning. Erasing all worries and going ahead to see Zamir. Not opening a portal and simply going through the streets. She wanted to look around, make sure nothing unusual was watching her.
Because no matter how much she tried to reassure herself she couldn't be at ease. The constant worry in her head considering why someone was keeping an eye on her. She’d lived this alone without catching the attention of the gods, why did it have to go bad now?
She’d barely moved and gotten used to this place, she didn't want the peace she found to end. The freedom she felt here was worth so much.
The trees above were moving in the soft breeze, people were going up and down the road all doing their own thing. She moved from shadow to shadow, looking across the street to where her corpse was. Seeing through a window as Enaya got up and walked towards it.
Her smile always plastered on her face, she waved at the distant shadow for a moment, then turned and walked away. Her figure disappeared into the building as Ena moved a little quicker down the streets. Being unseen was the best thing she could do, but the one thing that tormented her so much long ago.
Her eyes still looked around for anyone that might lurk and watch yet not actively looking for them. She was mostly now concerned with seeing Zamir going straight to the magic she’d left behind on him.
When she found Zamir he was sitting on the grass, looking out at nothing. His eyes appeared lost, probably lingering in the past she thought. He was biting his nails, while tapping his foot, all too lost in thought to notice the presence behind him.
