“ Can you stop? You're making my brother uncomfortable,” said Gou. Kayo looks at him. “ Uncomfortable? Us? Me? Hey Yuzu, is it true? Are we making you uncomfortable?” He said with a sad face. He looked at me with his red, bright eyes and I could tell there was an evil intention in them. I wish I could hit them so hard, that they would fly to another dimension. “ Yeah. You kinda are. So leave me alone. I don’t want problems with you guys.” I said to them. “ Wow! It looks like our little bunny here grew some balls while we were apart, huh.” Said Kyo while putting his arm around my neck. “ We were best friends before. Can’t you be nice–” “ Yeah, exactly. We WERE friends, now we’re not. So stop pretending we’re something when we are not. Continue with your life and stop bothering me.” I said while leaving them. I didn’t wanna be near those bastards. They gave me too much trauma for me to pretend nothing happened in the past. ‘ What the heck? Why are these girls still giving me the death glare? Don’t you have other things to do?’ Do they really think those trio (plus one) are innocent bystanders? Ack, heck no! They’re bastards that should be left dead in a ditch somewhere. “ Brother, if you keep frowning like that, you’ll end up with wrinkles on your face,” Gou said with a smile.

“ Oh really?! Then what’s with the smile on your face, huh punk,” I said while pinching his cheek. “ Ow! Ow! Ow! That hurts! You're hurting me, you stupid brother,” said Gou. “ You ungrateful child. I should give a smack on the butt for telling me a look like an old man.” I said angrily. “ Aaaaah! Someone help me! He’s going to smack my butt,” Gou said with FAKE tears in his eyes. Footsteps were coming my way and a soft voice said: “ I see both of you are having fun.” Said the voice. I turn my head to see who said that and it was him, Loki Harts. For some reason, he couldn’t stop staring and smiling at me. “…Can I help you?” I said with an eyebrow up. “ … Umm. No, not really. But we will be in the same class for two-period so might as well get along, right?” He said while tilting his head and smiling. “ Um… Sure.” I said. No matter what, I still think I know this kid. Every time he’s near me, my heart is always racing faster. “ Then I guess we are friends now.” He said while holding out his hand. While saying “ Okay.” I reluctantly took his hand. I didn’t know at the time that this was the beginning of my story with Loki Harts.

“ Okay, Kids. Please make a line so all of you can take the test,” said Professor Grey. “ Again, I’ll explain it. All who are Rank B and above will be with Professor Veronica and all the Rank below Rank B will be with me. Is that clear?” He said with a serious tone. Everyone answered “ Yes, sir.” and went in line. A lot of kids got Rank C and Rank D. It was Gou’s turn and I told him to break a leg and answered me with: “ If I did that, I won’t be able to be a Hunter or walk, so I’ll say no.” That punk. He knew what I meant. “ Gou Norikura, Rank B. You’ll be with Professor Veronica.” Said Professor Grey. Excitedly, he came running toward me and started to jump up and down. “ Brother! Brother! I’m Rank B! I’m Rank B!” Gou said. “ Yeah, I know. I heard him. Good job, you punk,” I said to him with my hand on his forehead. “ Yaay! Big brother praised me!” He said.  “ Next. Yuzu Norikura.” Professor Grey said. “ I guess it’s my turn,” I said nervously. A hand touches my shoulder. It was Loki! “ Don’t worry. You’ll be great.” He said with such a reassuring voice. “ Umm… Thanks. I’ll do my best.” I said to him, “ Yuzu Noirikura, Rank E.” My world just went crumbling in the drain. R-Rank E. I’m a freakin’ Rank E. It’s lower than those three mongrels. I think I might have been out of it ‘cause I didn’t hear the end result. But I later knew about them. Most of the kids got Rank C and D. And only a few of them got above Rank B. They were: Gou, Loki, Kyo, Kayo, Kagami and Lucas Walker. Everyone is Rank B except Loki, his Rank A. OMG, I want to DIE!!!! I, later went to my room to escape this nightmare, but instead what I found was…Loki Harts. “ What the hell are you doing in my room?” I said. Honestly speaking, I was too tired to discuss it with him, but I still said something. “ Wdym your room? Didn’t you know? I’m your roommate for this year.” He said with a smile. “ WHAT?!!” I said. Have the Gods abanded me? What the hell did I do in my previous life for this to happen to me.

At a certain house… “Are you sure Ragi? This kid has the other half of the earrings?” He said. “ Yes, my lord. I’m certain that was the Red Phoenix earring, but that child said he got it from his saviour 3 years ago.” Ragi said. “ 3 years ago, huh? The same time Loki lost the other half of the Red Phoenix earring.” He said. The man that was talking, is a man that is feared by others. This man is said, to be the closest to Madden Harts's power. The woman was known as Ironmadden in her time. This man is her descendant, Agnus Harts. “ It looks like I need to meet this young lad. How about we throw a party for the opening of the academy, hmm.” Said, Agnus Harts. “ That’s a great idea, my lord. I will do the preparation for the party immediately.” Said Ragi. “ Good. I can’t wait.” Said Agnus Harts with a smile. 

After my atrocious scene of me getting a Rank E, I was training with Professor Grey and the other kids, to awaken are affinity magic but for some reason, mine didn’t work. Even with me being unable to use my affinity magic, Loki and Gou spend time with me. Even if in the beginning, it was weird when Loki talked to me, but I got used to it. He was pretty funny and was great to have around, but for some reason, my heart felt at ease when he was with me. I even got glares from fire witch aka Halley Von Grail. “ What does that kid think he is. Spending time with Loki. He is mine.” Said Halley angrily. “ But it’s not like I can do anything when Loki likes his company. Damn that boy.” She said. “ Brother, did you hear?” Gou said excitedly. “ Heard what?” I said confused. “ There will be a party at the Harts Mansion and everyone in the Academy is invited.” He said. “ Huh? Why?” I said even more confused. “ Don’t know. Maybe to congratulate us, I guess.” Said Gou. “ That still doesn’t make sense. Why would they personally arrange a party for the students? Shouldn’t the school do that?” I said. “ I guess your right. Either way, there’s a party so we have to go,” He said. “ You can go, I’ll be sleeping,” I said uninterested. “ Huh? What? Big Brother, pleeeeaaase!” Gou said. For some reason, I couldn’t say no to his face. “ Arrgh. I’ll go. Happy now?” I said with a very annoyed face. “Yes, very!” He said. Haa, What did I get myself into?
