Chapter 2: Meeting my bias in real life

Three days passed and it was Saturday. At 12:30 P.M, I was going to finally meet my bias. Both he and my mom planned for us to have lunch together and to introduce ourselves. My right leg was shaking unconsciously as I waited nervously with my mom for him to come.

Hifumi Tooru, my future dad, reserved a private room at a fancy restaurant owned by one of his acquaintances. I was really shocked with the restaurant’s luxurious appearance and I couldn’t even grasp how expensive the food would be. My mom seemed used to how fancy the restaurant looked and told me to quickly get used to it since we’re going to come to these kinds of places often.

I was stunned at my mom’s words and realized why she forced me to wear my uniform today. My school uniform is the only formal outfit that I owned (also the most expensive one). My mom too was wearing her usual formal suit and she told me that her boyfriend gifted her a lot of pretty and expensive dresses but she refused them all, thinking she wouldn’t have a lot of opportunity to wear them. Boy, was she wrong. 

As we both waited patiently for Hifumi Tooru, he finally came.

“Sorry, Michi-san. I’m not late, right?” he asked while taking off his sunglasses. He was wearing a gray suit with a white shirt underneath. His legs, seemingly really long on screen, looked even more long in real life. 

“Wow, look at those proportions!” I thought as I admired his appearance. “And his skin looks so flawless! You wouldn’t think that he’s 32 years old. As expected of my bias!”

“No, you’re right on time, Tooru-san.” My mom said with a bright smile on her face and stood up from her seat to greet him more closely. They both seemed happy to see each other and I couldn’t help but be happy that two people that I love the most love each other. 

My bias looked at me and smiled at me. I also stood up from my seat and went to introduce myself to him as I felt my heart beating very fast. 

“My name is Nakahara Kumiko. I’m Nakahara Michi’s only daughter. I’m 16 years old and I’m currently attending Futsuu High School.”

“Yes! I didn’t mess up!” I exclaimed to myself as I had a small celebration party in my head. I practiced multiple times in my free time so that I wouldn’t stammer while I’m introducing myself to my bias. 

“It’s really nice to meet you, Hifumi Tooru-san!” I said as I finished my greetings.

He slightly chuckled with his right hand covering his smile.

“He’s SOOO adorable!!!” I fangirled.

“You’re even cuter than I expected, Kumiko-chan,” he complimented me, catching me off guard. 

“Wha- What?” I blushed.

“Your daughter is so cute Michi-san. She looks just like you!” he said while looking at my mom and making her blush. 

“My name is Hifumi Tooru. I’m Nakahara Michi’s boyfriend. I’m 32 years old and I’m a member of the idol group HELIOS”, he copied my introduction. 

“It’s really nice to meet you, Nakahara Kumiko-chan”, he said as he smiled brightly. 

“Woooaaah~ I feel like I could melt because of his smile!” I fangirled in my head as I tried to keep a poker face.

“You two must be hungry now. How about we order our food first and start to converse while waiting for it to arrive?” my bias suggested. 

“I agree.”

“Me, as well!”
