Chapter 14: My bias’ coworkers: Asata Hiroshi, Kudo Shigeru and Nakatomi Shouta
It didn’t take long for Kudo Shigeru, Asata Hiroshi and Nakatomi Shouta to be seen sitting on the sofa of my living room. They awkwardly glanced at each other and they were all waiting for me to utter a word. I stared at them for a good minute and finally started speaking.
“So… Do you know why I ask all three of you to come here?” I asked them.
“Yes! To personally see Shigeru-san beg on his knees as he asks for forgiveness!” Nakatomi Shouta raised his hand.
“Wha-” Kudo Shigeru swiftly looked at him.
“I disagree! I think it’s because you want to personally punish Shigeru and now would be a great time for you to do so without Tooru knowing!” Asata Hiroshi also raised his hand.
“Wait?! Why am I the only one being punished?!” Kudo Shigeru complained to his friends.
“No, well…” Nakatomi Shouta trailed off.
“It’s because you were mainly at fault,” Asata Hiroshi bluntly said.
“Yeah…” Nakatomi Shouta agreed with his leader.
“Wha-” Kudo Shigeru was flabbergasted.
“That’s right!” I agreed with Nakatomi Shouta and Asata Hiroshi.
“HUH?!” The three of them, baffled, looked at me.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” I thought as I recalled my words and didn’t find anything weird about what I just said.
“Did you want to punish me that badly?” Kudo Shigeru looked at me in horror.
“Ah!” I immediately realized why these three were looking at me weirdly. “No, I wasn’t agreeing with their jokes. I was agreeing with what they said after. The ‘You mostly being at fault’ part.”
“I wasn’t really joking though…” Asata Hiroshi further teased Kudo Shigeru.
“Yeah, same…” Nakatomi Shouta went along with his joke.
“HUH?!” Kudo Shigeru exclaimed and looked at them in disbelief, believing their words.
“...You do know that they were just teasing you, right?” I quietly asked him.
“HUH?!” He exclaimed again.
“Kudo Shigeru is more dense than he seemed. Or maybe he was just the type to easily trust people’s words?” I took note in my head about his personality. “On shows, he looked like the overconfident type but now he looks like a fool that believes everything that people say to you. I feel like he’s the type to easily get scammed by others…”
“Well, then…” I clapped my hands to gain their attention since the three of them seemed ready to get into a fight. “You two got it wrong. I didn’t ask you three to come for such a reason.”
“Then… Why did you ask us to come here?” Nakatomi Shouta asked.
“Well, it’s simply because I was bored!” I exclaimed.
“HUH?!” All three of them shout out at the same time.
“Just because of that…” Nakatomi Shouta was baffled.
“Really?” Asata Hiroshi was perplexed.
“You’re lying…” Kudo Shigeru was in denial.
“I mean… I heard that you wanted to host a mini fan-meeting for me today.” Nakatomi Shouta and Asata Hiroshi both looked at Kudo Shigeru at the same time as I spoke. “And I just felt like it would be such a shame to cancel such an event. I would rather not lose such a precious opportunity, you know?.”
“So…” Asata Hiroshi began.
“Now…” Nakatomi Shouta continued.
“What do you want us to do?” Kudo Shigeru finished.
They all looked at me, worried about what I would demand them to do, and I thought for a second about what I should request of them.
“Well for now…” I started. “How about we watch Netflix and chill?”
“WHAT?!” The three of them screamed at the same time.
