It’s always fun going to the Nolans house. Unless Sunny is blasting her music so no one can actually hear me knocking. Whose idea was it to get her a speaker? I did try to knock with no luck but at least I gave it a shot. I soon gave up and just called Violet who not so surprisingly didn’t answer. I had my money on her reading a book. So I went with Sunny. After about thirty  seconds of me ringing I heard the music stop, lots of yelling and finally the red door of the Nolans house opened just a crack. Just for me to see Violet's face peeking out.

They may be identical but it's quite easy to tell them apart. They both have such different styles in clothes. Also Sunny had a small birthmark a bit under where her hairline starts. 

Anyways after Violet made sure I wasn’t a kidnapper or something I was finally let inside. Everything looked about the same except there were a few new games on the glass table. Ca-eh-dis. Hopefully that was the right pronunciation.

“Oh you're checking out the new game, doesn't it look interesting? On the back it says the name is latin or something pretty smart, right? Well I wonder what it means….” I forgot Violet has a very cute habit of rambling when she’s having a thought or thoughts. Though the game did look quite interesting.

“ Hey, Violet, you're rambling again though the game does look fun. We should play it! Why don’t you set it up while I go get Sunny to play she's in her room, yeah?” As soon as I mentioned her rambling, her almond skin went a bit red.

 That could have been my imagination though. Staying up two days in a row is not a good idea at all. I’m honestly lucky I  wasn't already asleep. I will never know how people lived before coffee.

“Believe it or not she's in the lounge. So we can just go set up.” Violet sounded way too excited to play this game.

 I was honestly surprised that Sunny wasn’t in her room. She normally spends her time in there. She was having a few issues, I guess you could say with herself. It was nice to see her not so much in thought. 

After I got myself some ice cold lemonade from their fridge we set up the game. Inside was a board, a bunch of cards, quite a few character pieces, a few dice, paper, pencils and a piece of brown paper. It didn’t look too important so we just cast it aside.

Little did we know that piece of paper was so important and would very soon regret reading it.
