"I was calling to check on you & your niece for that. But then I over heard your step-mom-hey, what's the song anyway? Would I like it?"

"First, tell me what exactly happened."

"What do you mean?"

"How about we start witht he randome fucking glowing tree that was in the middle of my family room!?! O-Or how about the fact that you knew where I lived & I've NEVER told you that before! & I know Jewel wouldn't just give you that info without telling me first. Or, possibly better yet, explain who the hell that woman was! That's what I mean Mytel Huntsman."

"Oh... I... I thought you..."

He goes quiet over the phone for a moment, as if he's had a relization about something. Ah shit, did I offend him? "Mytel, I-" "I'm sorry. This is partially my fault... seeing is believing, as they say. Unfortunally, looks like seeing wasn't enough." I was confused. "What... what are you talking about?" he goes silent again. "I thought your memories & abilities were locked & I saw an opportunity & well... I took it. But, well, looks like I ended up having to explain myself after all. I suggest getting comfortable-" "W-Wait... how... how important is what you're about to tell me?" there was a hum on the other end. "Well, I'd rather do this in person, but it does deal with your mother & where exactly your dad is." I released a shaky sigh. "Ok... can... can I call you back in a bit? O-Or we can meet up somewhere to talk?" he chuckled. "That's fine, but with everything that you've been through today, I think that it should wait a few days at least. Does that seem fair?" I wanted to say no. I needed answers right then & there, but that I realized something important. He was there for all of the crazyness from earlier... meaning he had to be exhausted too. & here I was giving him a hard time after he had called to make sure Yuki & I were ok. "Yeah... that's fine. I-I'll text you when I'm ready to talk about it... o-ok?" I could practically hear his smile on the other end. "Perfect. We can talk then. Have a good evening K... Archer."

Thankfully, Yuki was better by that evening. She didn't say anything about what happened, but she did seem more zoned out than usual for a few days. She did talk to herself on occasion, but she seemed to actually be speaking or laughing with someone. I meanwhile was a wreck; I felt like I was being followed more often now. I needed to talk to Mytel but I was too nervous to even text him. It felt very uncomfortable... but I knew I had to. It took about 5 days, but I finally called him. I had been walking on a little park trail when I finally came to the decision to call. The phone rings twice before its answered. "Hello?" My mouth was suddenly dry & I couldn't talk. "Archer? Hello? You did mean to call me right?" My breathing is shaky as I sit down on a bench. "Hmm, must've been a butt di-" I forced out a cough. "Y-Yeah. Hi, sorry this call took so long to come through." I heard a laugh. "No, it's alright. To be honest, I expected to nearly wait another whole week for this!" I was quiet. "U-Unless you're not ready yet! That's fine t-" "N-No! I'm ready. Sorry... um, I'm just a little freaked out about all this still. Uh, I can come meet you where you are." there was silence on the other end of the call. "Mytel-" "Sorry. This particular spell takes a bit more concentration than most." Mytel was suddenly standing directly in front of me; I jumped as he smiled at me. "H-How did you-" I groaned without finishing my sentance. Of course he just appareted out of thin air. Mytel sat down at the end of the bench, trying to give me as much space as possible. "Before we start this... I wanted to apologize." he says; he's not looking at me as he speaks this time. He always looks at me when he speaks to me. "I wasn't aware... I didn't know you... I didn't think you had no information about this. I thought your father said something to you, but I was wrong. I'm sorry for that & hope you can forgive me." he sounds really pained. "Mytel... what's going on?" he sighs, fiddling with a red ring on his pinkie finger. "Before I go too far into what happened yesterday... there's a few other things I need to explain first." he takes a deep breath, & thumps his fist on his heart twice, muttering something.

"Do you know why our parents are so close?" I shook my head slowly. Mytel's foot started to shake, vibrating his whole leg. His breathing is so loud... was he panting? "My dad knew your mom. They were close... he protected her with everything he had. The role was called Merlin; he was her advisor in a way. K-Kind of like how Merlin was for King Arthur all those centuries ago." I gave a slow nod. "Ok... so then what was Mom's role?" Mytel winced a bit, as if he was hoping I'd never ask the question to him. "Y-Your mom... Selene was the Queen of Camelot... then your dad became King." I was confused as he moved closer to me, staring intently at me. He uses his free hand to remove his benie & I see two tufts of hair sticking straight up. I also noticed that a golden butterfly hands on our hands too. "W-W-What does any of this have to do with yesterda-" "It's the background for yesterday. But more importantly, it's me coming clean about my future intentions with you." Mytel takes my hand in his as a soft light emits from them, as if were holding a lightbulb. He takes in a deep breath, as if he's preparing for something vital. "My name is Mytel Graves Huntsman. I... I officially hereby go by the title of Merlin, which is a magical advisor to the ruler of Camelot. I'm... your magical advisor. I will hereby serve under Prince Archer until I am no longer capable or." he says his lines as if prerehearsed, but with the conviction of wedding vows. "Do you accept this vow?" I was too stunned to speak, but the glow of our hands shone brighter & began to shift colors, gently pulsing. Mytel gave me a small smile as the butterfly flew off. "Now... by proxy... this makes you the future king of Camelot offically... like your mother. T-Though, as of right now, you're a Prince." something in me insists that he isn't lying to me, but I still had no proof. I take my hand back from him & he seems a bit heartbroken at my reaction. "T-There's no way... that kind of stuff exists! W-What, you just expect me to believe that my mom was a queen or something? Of Camelot no less?" Mytel sighed.

"I'm guessing she just owns some estate over in England or something! Like, seriously, a queen? Really Mytel?"

"Archer, I know this sounds crazy but you have to understand-"

"I don't have to understand anything! Is there any proof that this is real?"

"Yesterday. You saw the magic & could feel it... I know you could. The tree for starters, the butterflies everywhere, my ears & tail, even your own body was affected. & based on your reaction yesterday, it was for the better."

"M-My body...? I-I don't know what you m-"

"Archer, I know you're trans. All of Camelot knows actually."

"H-How...?"

"Your father made it very clear to us in the event you ever visited us after your transition. Sides, you seemed to make it a big deal yesterday that you were a man... if I didn't know prior, that would've been a big clue."

I was shocked, but at the same time... that did sound like something Dad would do. "Is... is there anything else you can tell me about my mom? Or about where she came from?" Maybe, just maybe, he'd slip up & say something that I would know is a lie. Mytel was quiet for a minute. "Well... not really. Most of what I know of Queen Selene comes from my dad & the time they spent together. Apparently, she was very adaptible with most kinds of magic. She travled a lot to different corners of the world to learn different spells. Just because she was curious. I do remember Dad saying that the two of us would be friends when I was little. I was probably... 5 I think." I do remember Mom knowing a lot about very specific tpics, just because the idea of them interested her. "If all of this is true & your dad was really close with her like you say... then you'll know why she game me the name she did." He just stared at me. "You mean your old name...? A-Archer, it's highly disrespectful for us to say your former name. It was the only controversial law your father put in place... but he did remove it. Still... that's... it's very disrespectful." Of course Dad made it illegal to say my dead name at one point. & of course, Mytel is too good of a man to say it. "Still, I know she gave you that name because of the moon. Your names were a pair. Both goddesses of the moon... just with different priorities. Showing that the two of you are diffrent, but still alike at your c-" Mytel suddenly stands up. "W-What? What is i-" "How are they... shit, we gotta go." he takes my hand again, pulling me up, while I remainded confused. "Go? What do you mean go-?" I heard something whiz past my face & stick into a tree. The blood drains from my face as I feel my legs give out. Mytel ripped the arrow out of the tree & stares at it; it bursts into flames in his hands. "Damn it..." he looks around & sees a small trail. "How well do you know this area?" I shrugged. "I-I mean, kind of, w-" another arrow whizzes past us. "This way!" Mytel grabs my hand as the whistling sound is much more frequent. The sound of something hitting wood surrounds us as I try my best to keep my head down. "W-Who would be shooting at us!?!" Mytel doesn't speak for a moment; he's practically pulling me along. "Bad people. Very, very bad people who shouldn't even be here." For most of our run, I don't think my feet even hit the ground. I feel something fuzzy grab on to my hand during those moments, then I notice what's coming out of Mytel's back. He's muttering to himself, quickly looking from side to side; this area is a lot more dense than I remember.

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon..."

"M-Mytel, there's something-"

"My tail. Look, can we not focus on that right now?"

"T-TAIL!?!"

"Yeah, I know. I'll explain that after this, but we have to focus on r-"

There was a sound similar to a loud crack. It almost sounded like cartoon lightning striking; it came from the tree right beside us. A peice of the tree fell, like it was on a broken door hinge, revealing an hollowed out trunk within. Without thinking, I pulled away from Mytel & hurried inside; there wasn't much space, but when Mytel finaly came inside, it was bigger than I suspected.
