Having flown for a few straight hours now, Mark is exhausted, landing on an unpopulated planet to get some rest. While climbing onto the ships' rooftop, he sees Orone, who informs him that she does not require sleep, and is down to be Experience's new pilot. However, she also informs Mark of there being a hazard inside the ship. The segment managing the heat levels of the weapon system of the ship has been defect for a long while now, being at risk of exploding. While both of them try and get the piece out of it's place for repairment, a creature jumps out of the surrounding waters and snatches it right from their hands. They immediately jump into the water following the monster.
