Robyn was sleeping against my chest. I kissed the top of their head and laid there, waiting for them to wake up. I had my hand on their back as I stared at the wall in front of me. The door opened and Damien, one of Robyn’s roommates, walked in. “Oh, I’m so sorry,” he said, covering his face. “It’s fine. I’m half dressed,” I said. “When they wake up, ask them if they want to go to a concert with me tonight. I’ll be in my room,” he said, backing out of the room. “Alright, I will. Bye Damien,” I said. “Bye Ash,” he said before closing the bedroom door.

After the longest ten minutes of my life, Robyn woke up. They kissed me briefly and asked, “How do you feel, love?” I smiled and looked at them. “I’m fine,” I said. “Stay?” they asked. “Of course,” I said. I looked over to the door. “Oh, and Damien walked in. He wants to take you to see a concert tonight,” I said. “When?” they asked. “About ten minutes ago,” I said. “That fucking queer,” they mumbled, sitting up. I slightly laughed. “You should go with him,” I said. “What about you?” they said. “I’ll be fine, Robyn. You should go and enjoy yourself. I’ll be here. Call if you need anything,” I said. “Fine, whatever,” they said. They got up and got dressed. “Are you sure that you're fine being here by yourself?” they asked. “I’m 100% sure,” I said. “Alright. I’ll call in an hour,” they said. “Alright,” I said. They kissed me one last time and left. I watched from the window and waited for them to leave. I got up and put on some clothes before sitting on the floor.

“Okay. Ready,” I said, closing my eyes. I opened them, seeing the glitchy effect in my eyes. I closed them again, smiling. That’s how it worked. That’s why I ended up in the left seat. That’s why he calls it ‘Glitched Out'.

Being perceived as normal should have been good, right? Even though Ash would never be normal, he lived what was viewed as an average life. He was the really smart and attractive triplet. Everyone loved Ash. His life was pretty much perfect to everyone. Who would be perfect with the famous, billionaire playboy, his beautiful wife, and two extremely talented brothers as their family. The truth of him and his family would soon be spilled out to the public once his mother died after giving birth. His father, Malcolm, was always drunk and out late at night which left the triplets with the twins, Alex and Alexa. One day, Malcolm came home sober and with someone. Someone Ash was in school with. Now with her dating his only living parent, he has to listen to her like she is his parent. Maybe the power got to her head.

Ash isn’t a normal 18-year-old boy. He has what people would call an alter ego. Two different souls in the same body with the same problems. Glitching out.
