Song for this chapter - I knew I loved you by Savage Garden

An Alpha heard a loud high wail, echoing through the night. As he was running on the outskirts of his territory. He followed the sound until he came upon a bundle of cloth inside a cave, he quickly changed to his human form and moved the cloth around some. It was then he saw a tiny bloody baby girl. He growled at the scent, it smelled as if she had just been born but he could tell by the dried blood that it had been a while.  

He wrapped her back up as she had been and transformed back into his wolf form, picking her up in his mouth by the blanket wrapped around her. He then ran back to his pack as fast as he could. He decided that he and his pack would raise her. He knew they could protect her better than the humans could. He had seen her eye's and knew that she wasn't human, but wasn't sure what exactly. 

Once he got closer to the heart of his territory, and the homes there, he transformed back to his human form and held the baby girl in his arms. "Nadia, come quickly!" He called out.

"Yes, what is it Mathias?" Nadia asked as she came out of the house nearest him. 

"I found this little girl while on patrol. She's just been born……. I think, it's hard to tell. Please check her over and make sure she is ok. She was abandoned." Mathias said as he handed the bundled baby over to Nadia, then he went to go see to some other things he needed to do.

Nadia took the bundle from him and carried her into the house. She unwrapped the baby to be met with vibrant bright eyes. One as deep blue as the ocean and the other as purple as Wild Hyacinth. Nadia gasped in shock, she knew that eye colour.

This eye colour hasn't been seen in such a long time. Seeing the eye colour Nadia removed the blanket fully and started cleaning the little girl. It was only when she cleaned the girls shoulders that she noticed something else. "I need to tell Mathias right   away. We must protect this child with all we have."
